The Markdown League Championship will track results of all Markdowns in a calendar year and will provide an accurate winner at the end of it. In this case, only Markdown results from January 2011 - December 2011 will count (from Markdown 5 in other words.)
Points will be awarded for each top 10 place and will be accumulated over the rest of 2011 to give us a defined list of who the most consistent and best micro makers are. Any micro made is eligible to be included in regular Markdown shows so even if you're not on any PPVs or shows, just sticking a great micro in the micro board can get my attention. The points paying positions are as follows:
1st: 12 pts
2nd: 10
3rd: 8
4th: 7
5th: 6
6th: 5
7th: 4
8th: 3
9th: 2
10th: 1
If someone is on the Markdown more than once, they will receive half points for their lowest position. For example, if Hurricane is 3rd and 7th he will receive 10 total points, not 12. This is purely to prevent too many points going to one person and it should make for a narrower range between people. Tag Team entrants will receive full points for each person. For example, if CMJHC are 1st, both CMC and MJH receive 12pts each.
