Yeah, cashing in MITB can leave you feeling like that. When I did it against MJH and won I did feel bad for him because he never saw it coming. On the flip side, knowing that you have a title winning micro is good and even though the match is harsh on your opponent, the people have voted for you.

But it was an understrengthed micro of CMC's, any other micro of his and I would have lost, fairly.

I understand you feeling bad about the MITB cash-in, but those are almost always controversial and unexpected, its the whole point of it, but all that's passed now and i dont think anybody is harboring negative feeling about it anymore (other than you feeling guilty) at this point.
But its totally understandable if you dont feel like competing anymore, I've had that feeling plenty of times, you just need a break. A lot of people claim they're retiring and return a few months later, so i dont take "retirements" around here all too seriously, all i can say is i hope to see you back in competition sometime, but if you need time off that's totally understandable.

It's not a matter of wanting time off, it's just a matter of my time being up when it comes to competition. Sure, sporadic appearances in the future aren't neccersarily off the cards, but I've done what I wanted to do, and I'd love my farewell match to be against who I am facing at MS20, even if that means not facing MJH for the title as my final match. There is no burn-out, or disliking towards micros, I just have no desire to be competitive with them anymore, and I haven't had the desire for months.

I'm gonna be frank here, I wish you all would quit with the melodramatics, the least active people are me and CMC and we manage to participate in the shows there's no need to retire, nobody gives a shit about things like MITB anymore, shit happens we move on, you're being more of a dick by retiring than by the cashing mitb or whatever. We fleetingly care about the politics and shit here the only thing that sticks are micros, I'm sick of everyone feeling sorry for themselves or being all dramatic, make micros or don't, making them would be better but if you don't want to fine just stop worrying about the shit that's gone down in the past.

But I am continuing with micros. I just no longer have a desire to make them to deadlines or to conform them to set stipulations. Simple, really. Oh, and the MITB shit, I don't give a damn about what others think of it, I was more referring to the feeling it left of not wanting challenge. (Oh, and it is quite sad that the two World Champions, and two of the admins are partially in-active, don'tcha think as champions, keeping board presence should be a tad important.)

But I'm not leaving, or fed up, that's the thing. I'm simply not making competitive micros.

Fuck, I hate these retirement speeches..
You make little men on a forum, you don't need to have a grand announce every time you want a break. I told AC this too, many times, since hes probably "retired" more times than Ric Flair (or John Farnham, which Diablo will appreciate). And on top of that, it definitely feels to me like Diablo is quitting out of a hissy fit because he didn't get his way with SPZ's title shot. Not saying it is, but it's definitely an aspect of it.
Why do this and say you quit altogether? Don't make a big deal of it, take a break and come back when you're feeling it again. I go months without making micros at all, I've never made these speeches.... I just hold back and wait til I feel like making them again. No need to be an attention seeker..
I understand wanting a break from competition, but fuck, you act as if you were forced to compete at every show. Be like AC, KOK or Gav? Compete every now and them when you feel like it, when you have a micro you want to use, when theres somebody you want to face? It's not like it's only a choice between every show or no shows at all.

I did have a bit of a giggle at the John Farnham line. But anywho, this spans well beyond MS/WF/MD lineage. I've been doing this for ages, back around in MWE from day one, I'm just all competed out, I know I wasn't forced into any competition. Oh, and the title shot, I was referring to the planned match against MJH for his title at the pay-per-view, however I did post this thread before anyone protested my decision. I respect your decision not to award him the shot, I can only wish SPZ the best in climbing up the microing ladder. Plus, as I said, I will make sporadic appearances, like Alex has done, but yeah, for the forseeable future I will be in retirement. Now, down the road, be it 6 months, 9 months, 12 months or whatever, the spark will probably be re-ignited for competition, but right now I have no interest in it.

Cane has been doing this for ages and he's never retired, me and cmc have been here since WF and we're still around.
