Ahhh okay, well fingers crossed for you that it helps you a lot. Sounds painful though, is it risky surgery?

Very minimal risk I think. The worst that could happen is that full flexibility isn't achieved. But considering the flexibility was shit before, anything's an improvement. It was only painful for a couple of days after surgery when I went to bed. As the tendon in the back of my ankle had been cut, it was rubbing on the inside of the cast a bit. I didn't really notice it if I had something to keep me occupied which is why you become more aware of it when trying to sleep.

For the past 10 weeks I've been incapacitated through foot surgery. I'm still in a damn cast (my 3rd one) and I dream of a day where I can give my leg a good scratch. I face another month or so of rehabbing the leg and then I have to go through the whole thing again with my right foot. But when it's all over I'm gonna finally be able to learn to drive and then I can pursue a career in driving/haulage. don't you need to have been driving for 3 years to be able to do a job with driving?

don't you need to have been driving for 3 years to be able to do a job with driving? Probably. But I didn't say I was going straight towards that career. Learning to drive is a gateway to that for later on.

Being serious here but beforehand gav did you need to wear platformed shoes so your foot would be flat to the ground?

Not really. Up until around 2003 I wore trainers/shoes and it wasn't noticeable. Then as the condition worsened a bit I started wearing boots, which gave better support to the ankle. You'd never know that I had a problem if you saw me with footwear 'cos you just wouldn't see it.

That sounds bad. Will you need to wear a mask like Cody Rhodes?

Had my appointment moved forward and just got back, luckily there is no severe damage the bone is fractured but not smashed like first predicted.
