"WWE announced Friday that Chris Jericho has been suspended indefinitely due to an irresponsible act at a WWE live event in São Paulo, Brazil on May 24.
Chris Jericho suspended
Chris Jericho as been suspended indefinitely due to an irresponsible act of denigrating the Brazilian flag at a WWE live event in São Paulo on May 24. WWE has apologized to the citizens and the government of Brazil for this incident."www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/WWE_Suspends_Chris_Jericho_Indefinitely.htmlSo basically what went down was CM Punk entered the ring with the Brazilian flag, Jericho took it, scrunched it up and kicked it away (hardly desecration, if you ask me) and then the (legit) cops came in and gave Jericho a choice of apologising to the live crowd or facing arrest and incarceration. Of course, Jericho was forced to break character and apologise to the crowd. Assuming this is legitimate, which at this point is does seem to be albeit convenient timing for the Fozzy tours, this is fucking bullshit if you ask me. Using a flag for heel heat has been a staple in wrestling for years. Political correctness gone wrong, if you ask me.

You may see it as bullshit, but a rules a rule. If they say you don't do shit to their flag, you don't do shit to their flag. You especially don't go and do it in their country.

Yeah, you can't fuck around like that in a country like Brazil. It's pretty similar to JBL doing the Hitler march and Nazi salute in Germany several years back. So random, though. I clicked on it thinking "fuck, drugs?".

I find this surprising, R-Truth got away with breaking WWE's own policies for a month or two which to me seems bigger than this. I would've expected Jericho to be one of WWE's golden boys who is above the rules.

I don't think the company would be too angry with Jericho, it's more a show to the public and Brazil to make them look better, since it was their first time there.

Sounds like Brazilians are touchy douchebags. If Jericho kicked the Irish flag I'd be like "Oh Chris, you crazy" because I know he's a heel and that's what heels might do.

Seeing video of the incident, he has done fuck all. He didn't spit on it or stick it in his nose or burn it. All he did was scrunch it up and remove it from the ring to garner heat.

That's what all this fuss is about? You'd think he burned the damn thing as much as people are blowing this stuff out of proportion

Brazil and USA are completely different I get that but everyone knows this is an entertainment show. People these days are too damn sensitive about everything.
