That happened to me, but it fixed itself after a day or two.

Yeah it's not SO bad, I can actually play the games if I install em, and for some reason GTA IV is the only one of my games that boots up instantly, which is insane since it was my first Xbox game, and it's got some scratches on the disc from when my first xbox died.

What's that? I think you should quit, because obviously Xbox's don't like you. Get a PS3 or something?

e74 means the entire thing is dead. When i press the power button it goes straight to a black screen that says e74 message, wont even go to the dashboard. Its on the last flashing red light too.

Ring consumers and politely tell them how many problems you have had, because you have had the four red rings happen several times. Tell them about the e74 and say that since you have barely been able to play because of all the faulty equipment, all your xbox live has been wasted too.
Complain and ask for a refund on the xbox live you have missed as well as the xbox.

I got the E74 gubbins on my first 360 after a year. Bought a new one after that.

They said they're for real sending a new one this time. I just gotta write a note and remind them. They're jackasses though so they'll probably just try to fix my shitty one.
