"It's time to shake things up again!"- Vincent Kennedy McMahon, CEO of World Wrestling EntertainmentBackstory"As of Tuesday, September 13th 2011, the WWE will be undergoing some major changes. More will be announced within the hour."
That was the only message that could be seen on the WWE homepage, late Tuesday night on September 13th 2011. You couldn't navigate the webpage, just two simple sentences and that was it. Within the hour, the whole company changed. Some major restructuring had taken place.
For starters, Smackdown had been cancelled. Due to the poor ratings it was receiving on the SyFy Network, WWE and SyFy mutually agreed to cancel the entire show.
This left the Smackdown superstars not knowing their futures, obviously the champions weren't concerned, but everyone else was.
At 11:30 PM, Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H held a live press conference that was streamed live on the WWE website. Levesque announced the cancelling of Smackdown was a business decision, he didn't want to do it, however Smackdown had run it's course and Smackdown is now dead. There will not be a new show in it's place, all of the now former Smackdown superstars will be appearing every Monday night on Monday Night Raw.
Levesque stated that along with the cancelling of Smackdown, some superstars will ultimately be released. He said he hates letting anyone go, however there is not enough room on the Raw roster for everyone. He said that after a long process, the following have been released.
Brodus Clay David Otunga Eve Ezekiel Jackson Heath Slater Hornswoggle Jinder Mahal Johnny Curtis JTG Kelly Kelly Mason Ryan Ranjin Singh Rosa Mendes The Great Khali Tyler Reks
Levesque wished them all the best in their futures.
Levesque then went on to make another announcement. He said that they have a pay per view scheduled for this Sunday named "Night of Champions" and that name couldn't be anymore necessary. He announced that this Sunday, the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships will be combined in one huge match. The match will feature WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton, as well as 8 other superstars in a 10 Man Gauntlet for The Gold match. The other 8 superstars have not been finalized yet, however there will be the top 4 from Raw and the top 4 from the now defunct Smackdown that will make up those 8 men.
He also announced that the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship will be combined as well. That match will feature the United States Champion Dolph Ziggler and the Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes, as well as their respective opponents Jack Swagger and Ted DiBiase in a Fatal Fourway Match.
Levesque went on to say that the Divas Championship has been discontinued, however the Women's Championship has been reinstated as the official championship among the divas. He said that there will be an over the top rope battle royal for the championship at Night of Champions featuring all of the WWE divas.
He then went on to say that his match with CM Punk is still on, as well as Air Boom defending their WWE Tag Team Championships against Awesome Truth.
Levesque then proceeded to end the Press Conference and encouraged everyone to tune in and watch Night of Champions this Sunday, because it's going to be one hell of a show. He thanked everyone and the stream ended.

Nice to see you're doing one of these, man. I'm just about to post the next Raw for mine, lol. Seems interesting so far, can't wait to see how this goes. And I love how you changed McGillisucky to Joe Hennig. I'd suggest more teams though, as there isn't much to do with just 3.

Yeah I plan on adding more teams in the future, just trying to come up with good ideas for teams and such. Probably bring back some of my favorite past teams that haven't been seen in a long while in the WWE

The show opened with a video package circling around the new era of the WWE, and the crowning of an Undisputed champion. King and JR welcomed everyone to the show and said that tonight promises to be one hell of a night, and a great start to a new era. WWE Women's Championship 12 Diva Battle RoyalThis match didn’t last too long, it was Beth Phoenix dominate the match and eventually win it. Beth said she was going to bring honor back to the Diva’s division. She said if any woman out there wants a shot, all they have to do is ask. WWE Intercontinental/United States Championship Unification Match "Intercontinental Champion" Cody Rhodes vs "United States Champion" Dolph Ziggler vs Ted DiBiase vs Jack SwaggerThis match was a great one from 4 up and coming stars. All four men brought their A game. DiBiase nearly won the match, but the pin was interrupted. Swagger nailed a huge SwaggerBomb but wasn’t able to get the victory. Rhodes and DiBiase battled, with Rhodes going for the Cross Rhodes, but DiBiase fought out and nailed the Dream Street, only for Dolph Ziggler to come in and nail the Zig Zag on DiBiase. Ziggler was met with a SwaggerBomb following the Zig Zag that got Swagger the win.Winner: Jack SwaggerJack Swagger was interviewed right after the match, he was asked what title he would be keeping. He said it only makes sense to keep the United States Championship, seeing as he is the All-American American. Swagger celebrated with the title as he headed to the back. WWE Tag Team Championships Air Boom(c) vs Awesome TruthThis was a great match from both teams. It had many near falls. Miz nearly picked up the win for his team after a roll up, while grabbing the tights but Kingston kicked out. Truth went for his Axekick but missed and was knocked out with the Trouble in Paradise. Miz came in but was met with a huge dropkick from Bourne as Kingston went for the pin.Winners: Air BoomNo-Disqualification Grudge Match Triple H vs CM PunkThis match went all over the place, and both men kicked each other’s ass. Punk nailed a GTS in the backstage area and almost got the win. The match made its way back to ringside where Triple H nailed a spinebuster on the steel stairs, but didn’t attempt a pin. He pulled the sledgehammer out from under the ring and swung it at Punk but Punk dodged it. Triple H stalked him around ringside with the hammer but Punk eventually got him to drop it. Punk stomped away at Triple H’s bad knee, and even tried to smash it in between a chair and the stairs. Triple H fought back eventually and nailed a Pedigree on the outside of the ring but Punk just kicked out. Triple H took the announce table apart and signaled for a Pedigree through it but Punk stopped him by kicking him in the knee. Punk put Triple H in the figure four and yelled “WOOOOOO” in his face while having him locked in it. Triple H fought back and got out of the move. Triple H eventually was able to nail the Pedigree through the announce table but still didn’t go for the pin. He pushed the referee away and said “I’m gonna kill his ass”. Punk met Triple H with a swift kick to the head. Punk then took his knee pad off and nailed Triple H with a GTS to the exposed knee, but it still wasn’t enough to keep Triple H down. Punk tossed Triple H back in the ring and signaled for a second GTS on the exposed knee. Just as he did, John Laurinaitis came walking down the ramp. Punk looked at him and then smirked and waved and then nailed the GTS. Punk went for the pin and then Kevin Nash pulled him off Triple H. Punk got to his feet and mouthed Nash, while trying to get in his face. Laurinaitis got in the ring and tried to make Nash leave but they both pushed him down. Nash and Punk looked to be about to brawl as Triple H got up, and then Nash turned and blasted him with a big boot. Nash then picked him back up and nailed the Jacknife Powerbomb. Nash left the ring and exited through the crowd. Punk stood in the ring, looking shocked, shrugged his shoulders, said “What the hell”, and pinned Triple H. Winner: CM PunkPunk celebrated after the match as Triple H laid unconscious. Punk left the ring and smiling and waved goodbye to Triple H, as he laid in the ring. It was time for the main event, as Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross went over how a gauntlet match works. Two men start the match and after one man is eliminated, another comes down. This process repeats until one man is left standing, and that man is the winner and will be the Undisputed Champion. Randy Orton started off the match against one of the mystery superstars, that man was The Miz! Miz and Orton battled back and forth with Miz getting control of the match and nearly eliminating Orton however Orton nailed a quick RKO out of nowhere and got the pin. Miz was eliminated Next out was The Big Show! Show came in, looking determined to win. Orton tried to meet him coming in with an RKO but Show just tossed him aside like a toy. Show went for a Showstopper but Orton countered out and again went for an RKO but Show shoved him off, Orton turned quickly and got blasted with a big boot from Show. Show controlled Orton, and almost got the win after a huge splash from the second rope but Orton was able to get his foot on the bottom rope. Show went for a Showstopper, but when he had Orton in the air, Orton countered into a huge RKO that shook the ring. Orton went for the cover but Show kicked out. Orton went for another RKO but this time he was met with a furious knockout punch from Show. Randy Orton was eliminated Christian was the next entrant. Christian came in but was quickly met with a huge scoop slam from Show. Show was obviously fired up and determined to win. Nothing Christian was doing would slow the big man down. Christian then slowed him down with a drop kick to the knees of Show. Christian worked over Show’s knees for a good few minutes and looked to be trying for the Unprettier but Show would have none of it. He shoved Christian away and as Christian came running back, Show clocked him with a knockout punch. Christian was eliminated Out next was Kane! Kane and Big Show had a stare down in the ring and then went at it. The big men fought back and forth, with neither men getting a clear advantage. Show nailed a Showstopper on Kane but he kicked out of the pin. Kane nailed a chokeslam on Show but he kicked out as well. Kane went to the top rope and went for his flying clothesline but he was met with a knockout punch, however Kane didn’t go down. He stood there dazed and then Show quickly followed up with a second Showstopper. Kane was eliminated Alberto Del Rio was the next entrant. He quickly went to work on Show’s knee, that Christian started on. Del Rio did a good job of keeping Show grounded. Del Rio tried putting Show in the armbar but Show easily got out of it. Del Rio went back to the knee until Show got pissed and with amazing strength, threw Del Rio across the ring. Del Rio came back at him but met a boot to the face. Ricardo Rodriguez ran in the ring and distracted Show but he quickly disposed of him and then turned his attention to Del Rio. Del Rio tried fighting Show off but he was soon over powered and fell victim to a Showstopper. Alberto Del Rio was eliminated Big Show was looking unstoppable in the ring, and then Mark Henry made his entrance. Henry came in and took advantage of Show’s injured knee. Show tried to fight Henry off but he kept on. Henry took out Show’s knee with a sick knee clip. Show screamed in pain and then Henry came off the second rope with a splash on the knee. Show was in too much pain to continue, and Henry pinned him. Big Show was eliminated Rey Mysterio was the next to enter. He came in and used his speed to get around Henry. Rey nailed Henry with springboard move after springboard move. He had Henry set up for the 619 but Henry angrily countered by pushing Rey off the ropes and to the floor. Henry attacked him on the floor and rammed his back into the ring post before delivering a World’s Strongest Slam on the floor. Henry threw Rey back in the ring and then nailed another World’s Strongest Slam. Rey Mysterio was eliminated John Cena was the next entrant! Cena came in on fire, nailing Henry with shot after shot. Henry quickly stopped Cena with a vicious clothesline. Henry worked over Cena’s back, even nailing a World’s Strongest Slam but Cena kicked out at 2. Henry went for a middle rope splash, but missed. Henry got to his feet and Cena went for an FU but his back gave out. Henry worked over the back more and more. Cena looked to be in a lot of pain as Henry went for a World’s Strongest Slam, Cena caught him with a quick small package. Mark Henry was eliminated Henry got mad and kicked Cena low. He then went for a World’s Strongest Slam but Sheamus ran in as the next entrant and stopped him. Sheamus ran Henry off and then allowed Cena to get to his feet before continuing the match. Sheamus and Cena went at it, throwing their best at each other. Sheamus nailed a Brogue Kick, but Cena kicked out. Cena locked Sheamus in the STFU, but Sheamus escaped. Sheamus went for a second Brogue Kick but Cena evaded it and quickly nailed an FU for the elimination. Sheamus was eliminated The final entrant was Cody Rhodes. Rhodes made his way to the ring, still looking beat up from the fatal fourway earlier in the night. Cena and Rhodes battled back and forth. Rhodes took control after Cena’s back went out. Rhodes went for his Cross Rhodes finishing move but Cena countered out. Cena fought back on Rhodes and started a comeback with two shoulder tackles. Cena went for the spinning slam but his back was still in too much pain and Rhodes got out. Rhodes nailed the Beautiful Disaster kick but Cena kicked out at two and half. Rhodes went for the Cross Rhodes but Cena countered it and got Rhodes up into the FU position, but his back looked to be weak and Rhodes slid off his back into perfect position for the Cross Rhodes and nailed it! Rhodes went for the pin and…..... John Cena was eliminated! The live crowd looked on shocked, as did Rhodes. The referee brought the Undisputed title in the ring and awarded it to Rhodes to looked at it and then threw his arms in the air. Rhodes celebrated in the ring with the belt as Cena got to his feet. Cena looked at Rhodes, said something to him, nodded his head, and left the ring. Rhodes stood in the middle of the ring with the title as the show came to a close.

The show opens with no opening video, just Triple H making his way to the ring. Triple H tells everyone that because he lost at Night of Champions, he had to give up his COO spot immediately following the match and he’s a man of his word. He said he is out here as a wrestler only. He said now he can kick someone’s ass and not have to fear losing his job as the COO, and that makes him one dangerous son of a bitch. Triple H went on to say that Kevin Nash crossed the line at Night of Champions, and that he is the first person on the hit list. He went on to say that before he takes care of Nash, he wants Punk. This brings out CM Punk who states he clearly had nothing to do with what Kevin Nash did at Night of Champions. He said he hates Kevin Nash and what he did to the business. He said Triple H only has one person to blame for what happened to him, and that’s himself. Punk and Triple H are then interrupted by John Laurinaitis. Laurinaitis said that what happened last night is all part of a bigger picture. He said that a new COO has been named, and that man is the one who instructed Nash to take out Triple H. Triple H demanded to know who it was but Laurinaitis stated that Triple H is on a need to know basis, and he doesn’t need to know. Laurinaitis finished by saying that he was instructed via text message that he is in charge of Raw for the time being, as ordered by the new COO. Laurinaitis said it would be great if both men left the ring, as he has a show to run. Opening Match Sin Cara vs Yoshi TatsuThis was a very fast paced match with a lot of action. Both men were flying all over the ring, however Cara would miss a spring board moonsault which allowed Tatsu to take advantage with a Roaring Elbow to pick up the win.John Laurinaitis came out following the match and congratulated Yoshi on the win, he went on to state that Yoshi just qualified for a match at No Mercy to crown the new WWE Light-Heavyweight Champion. Over the next few weeks there will be more matches with the winners going on to join Yoshi in the match at No Mercy. 2nd Match Zack Ryder vs Drew McIntyreThis was a good technical match up. Drew took control early on with a cheap shot on Ryder. Drew worked over Ryder with ground holds, but Ryder fought back into the match. Drew missed with a middle rope elbow drop and Ryder took over, eventually nailing a Rough Ryder but McIntyre kicked out. Ryder went for it again but McIntyre thumbed him in the eye and then nailed the Future Shock DDT to pick up the win.McIntyre proceeded to attack Ryder after the match and attempted another Future Shock DDT until Curt Hawkins made the save. Hawkins battled with McIntyre and eventually made him retreat. McIntyre yelled this isn’t over as Hawkins tended to Ryder. Triple H was shown backstage when he was approached by John Laurinaitis. Triple H said Laurinaitis has a lot of nerve coming into his locker room. Laurinaitis proceeded to inform Triple H that he had a match tonight in the main event. Laurinaitis went on to say that to show Triple H there’s no hard feelings between between him, Laurinaitis, and the new COO, he is giving Triple H a chance to become the number one contender for the Undisputed Championship. It will be Triple H taking on CM Punk, John Cena, and Randy Orton in the main event in a fatal fourway match. 3rd Match Evan Bourne w/ Kofi Kingston vs R-Truth w/ The MizThis match got started quickly with Bourne on the offense. Truth fought back with cheap tactics and eventually grounded Bourne. Truth missed his Axe Kick and Bourne put him down with a knee to the jaw. Bourne would go for the Air Bourne but The Miz would push him off the top rope, getting Truth disqualified. Miz and Kingston got in the ring, but with Bourne still down Miz and Truth took him down and started putting the boots to both men until two men ran into the ring from the crowd and attacked Miz and Truth. These men were revealed to be Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley! The quickly gave Miz a 3D, as well as Truth. They helped Kingston and Bourne up, only to give them 3D’s as well! Bubba got on the mic and said “WEEEEEEE’RRRRREEEE BAAAAACK!” and D-Von followed up with “OH MY BROTHER, TESTIFY!”4th Match WWE Women’s Championship Beth Phoenix© vs Gail KimGail came into this match looking to take the newly won title from Beth, but Beth would have none of it. After a few minutes she put Gail away with the Glam Slam for the win. Beth said after the match “This is the best you’ve got WWE?”5th Match Dolph Ziggler vs “Money In The Bank Winner” Daniel BryanThis was a great match with many close calls. Bryan nearly had Ziggler tapping in the Labelle Lock, however he escaped. Ziggler locked Bryan in the Sleeper but Bryan was able to escape it. Bryan looked to have kicked Ziggler’s teeth out his mouth with a kick to the jaw but Ziggler kept on fighting. Bryan missed a top rope dropkick and Ziggler nailed a Zig Zag but Bryan just was able to kick out before a three count. Bryan fought back into the match, even nailing sit down tigerbomb that almost got him the win. Ziggler dodged a running clothesline attempt from Bryan and nailed a huge dropkick. Ziggler went to lock in the Sleeper again but this time Bryan had it scouted and quickly dropped down and rolled Ziggler up for the three. Ziggler got angry following the match and refused a handshake from Bryan following the loss. The new Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes came to the ring and said that at Night of Champions he did the unthinkable. He became the Undisputed Champion when no one thought he would win. He said not only did he win, but he beat John Cena. He went on to say that Cena is tough and more than a credible champion. John Cena then made his way to the ring and said that Cody Rhodes earned that championship at Night of Champions. He said he looks forward to winning this next match and earning a chance to face Rhodes at No Mercy. Rhodes said he’d like that… Main Event #1 Contenders Match for Undisputed Title John Cena vs Triple H vs Randy Orton vs CM Punk All four men came into this looking to be the winner. There were many near falls, with Triple H almost pinning Cena after a Pedigree but he was pulled out of the ring by Kevin Nash! Triple H and Nash battled outside the ring with Nash eventually leaving Triple H lying with a Jacknife Powerbomb on the floor. The match then became a triple threat as Triple H was carried to the back. The end to the match came when Punk was laid out with an RKO and Orton turned into an FU for Cena to pick up the win. Cody Rhodes entered the ring following the conclusion of the match and applauded before getting a microphone. He said “Congratulations John, you got your match at Night of Champions.” Cena nodded and then turned to leave the ring but Rhodes stopped him. Rhodes pulled him back and then raised Cena’s arm in victory. Cena looked on at Rhodes a little hesitant to believe this new change of character. Rhodes smiled at him and then left the ring with the Undisputed Title, while clapping for Cena.
