Microstop presents
The Micro Hall of Fame 2013
Featuring..
Diablo and Masson
Hey guys,
With the resurgence in activity lately, there is no better time to induct these two deserving microers into the Hall of Fame! Diablo has been a huge part of this forum for years. He has been one of the most active microers EVER for a long time and also helped run the shows when I was absent, which helped keep the boards afloat. There is no doubt that he has made a huge impact in the micro world, winning just about every title imaginable. Congrats, Dean. Masson is a bit of a different story for me. I will be honest here and say that if asked a year or so ago, I wouldn't have ever thought Masson would be here. In that year, MAN has he improved! He has become one of the best, most original, most interesting microers ever and he has the title to prove it right now! You've really come into your own, and I LOVE seeing your work. You've done really well, and you really deserve this. Great effort you two! Congratulations!
Hurricane.
Diablo:
Hall of Fame, huh? Wow, I mean, I’m gonna go back down the road a little bit back to 2009. Back when little ol’ me started off. Some of you may remember that old little thing on CAWS.ws called Micro Wrestler Edits?
Well, I suppose I owe my first thank yous to Masson and Sarcastic, who made MWE a thing. Shout outs to guys like MoNjA, Saul, Famous & AA who gave me some of the best matches from my time there, which led to, if I remember, a couple of world title reigns and a tag team title reign?
But, that shit is ancient history. No, MicroStop is where shit became real. I remember coming in and seeing guys like Hurricane, Alex, CMC, Uksix & MJH just pull off perfect micro after perfect micro and I am just sitting there thinking... fuck, I can never reach that level. Let’s time travel a little bit forward, through one lolbanning and me being a cunt (yeah, I am actually using a Hall of Fame speech to apologise to CMC & MJH. If it weren’t for you two, I’d still be complete shit). I won a Money in the Bank match, won a World Title (sorry, CMC), won another World Title (sorry, MJH), won the Tag Team titles (sorry to both CMC & MJH) and yeah, that sums it up. Ran shows, ran competitions, helped Josh out as much as I could and that was that. Felt I accomplished a lot. Obviously, I never pulled off defeating Alex, but, y’know, I think I can let that dream rest.
Thus, it is an honour to be inducted into the Micro Hall of Fame, and to be put up with the names of some of the best pixel artists in the world.
Thank you all,
Dean

Masson:
To even be considered for the Hall of Fame is a honour. Although it may seem like a cliche, all you need to do is look at the previous entrants to see names like Hurricane, Alex, MJH and others and to be seen in the same light as anyone on that list is truly an incredible complement.
I've been microing for almost four years now, I was Inspired by a dead thread on Caws.ws and then created the Micro Wrestler Edits league, or MWE for short. This was probably my biggest influence on the micro world. Not that the league was particularly big, but I did help to start the microing journeys for the likes of Diablo, Attitude Adjusted, Cobra, Next Gen, Jake 666 and many others we've seen come and go over the years. While I won't be remembered for it, I will always see it as one of my biggest contributions to the world of micros. So all the members of MWE who kept it going and stuck around, I'd like to thank you cause you're the guys who kept me going, and made it all worthwhile.
I'd also like to thank all the members of Microstop, for the awesome community built here. Hurricane in particular for dragging us all through quieter times and keeping the forum going. You guys kept it enjoyable, and obviously gave me enough reasons to stick around!
I've not had a particularly star-studded career so far, although I was the first and last to win the non-wrestling cruiserweight champion, and held the wrestling cruiserweight championship and dominated the division for so long that I had to be stripped of the title. And of course, I hold the world title right now, and I don't plan to let go any time soon. So here's to the future, to micros, and to all of the micro community!
Thank you all,
Steve
