MS World Championship I find Masson's more interesting. Boba has a good head but the rest doesn't grab me. Masson's has better detail and a great pose so I'm going with him.
Exhibition Match Not as straight forward as I would've expected because Ermolli's is fantastic while Alex's is the usual high standard stuff. I think Ermolli pushed himself as he knew he had to in this match and has created a high level micro. There isn't anything wrong with either but I just feel like Ermolli gets my vote for stepping it up. And my eye is honestly drawn to look at it more than I do with Alex's.
#1 Contender's It's a good Sabu, but you've done him before and I preferred the older one. Nothing wrong with doing the same guy again but I don't feel like there's anything new that it offers apart from a new colour scheme. JX's is a solid unique effort and looks great. I'm going for JX.
Exhibition Match #2 Next Gen's looks a little too much like a normal guy wearing a costume rather than the smaller puppet it really is. I love the head on Dave's but that's all. SPZ's is hilarious and unique. But Dragonburger's is the best of the bunch. Stunning head with great detail and shading throughout. He's my pick.
Throwback Match For what they are I think Cane's is more interesting. If KoK had been able to add a lot more to it, it would've been better because it shows early promise. I'd also like to know where the hell his dick is? Looks very, very tight in that area. My strange mind aside, Hurricane is my vote.

MS World Championship: Both entries were alright. Neither were EPIC nor were either of them less than good. Masson: I'm not a fan of the rigid linework on the cape or the helmet...but I like the shading throughout the micro. The pose is what grabbed my attention. Overall, it is a unique style with excellent shading. AC: Overall this is a rather generic micro. nothing really jumps out at me. Though like Masson's I dislike the rigid linework on the cape behind Boba. And the battle-damaged look to the helmet could have been more subtle & based off of a reff image. Its been said plenty of times already, but the chest looks a little flat, not sure of any advice I can give to fix it other than looking off of a reff image. Vote:Masson. It was the pose, great shading, and bright colors that did it for me. MS Tag Team Championships:J-Gaveration X: I'm not sure who either of those guys are, so I can't judge the resemblance..but I like all the detail and linework that went into Gav's. I can see some AA in there, but the fact the colors share such a great contrast to the rest of the micro makes them pop out of the micro. They are also really bright colors, making it rather hard to AA. JX has a great micro, but I dislike when photoshop is used for lighting....it takes away from the organic look of a micro and the skill that goes into shading as well as make a micro look unrealistic...especially when it looks as if there are several different light sources. HurriClaAsick: I love the Wolverine micro! The design on the outfit is spot on and looks great. The face looks pretty accurate. The overall shading is really smooth and realistic. An underrated quality about this micro is the brilliant work on the hair and sideburns. AC's Daken looks pretty good as well. love the tattoo work on his arm and the face looks pretty accurate. I can't find much of anything wrong with this micro. Vote: Tough vote but it goes to HurriClaAsick for the smooth and realistic shading. Exhibition Match:Alex: You already know how much I love your work, so it goes without saying that I love the shading, highlights, texture, linework, and just about everything on this micro. But for some reason I feel as if I've seen it before...But as usual EPIC work, & I can't find anything really wrong with it. I do see some small improvements to your style though. Ermoli: Wow, great work here. I must say that does look like its traced... img218.imageshack.us/img218/7403/goro.png..but even if it is traced, the shading is extremely well done and it has some good resemblance. A bit small for Goro if you ask me...but hey its great nevertheless. Vote: Alex, great work as always, man. Number One Contender's Match:Hurricane: I really like this micro of Sabu. Its very realistic looking and I do see some resemblance in the face. The eyes look accurate, the nose could be slightly different. If the Jaw was a pixel longer and the hair was a little straggly & a bit darker it would be spot-on accurate. The shading on the pants is great, helping to create the overall realistic look. Not too much to complain about with this micro. JX: Again, I'm not a fan of the multiple light sources created by the use of photoshop. The armor looks really cool and has some awesome linework, defining those fine designs molded into the boots and gauntlets. I believe this is Whiplash from the comics. If anything, this micro is cooler than what he looks like in the comics. I would have loved to see his electric whips as well...would have made this an easier match to vote on. Vote: This was a really hard one to vote on. both were well made but in different styles. Just that one looked like more time and effort was put into it than the other...so my vote goes to JX Throwback Match:Hurricane: Three entries!? Wow! Well I have to say, job well done. I love the shading. Gives the micro the smooth and realistic look. I like the original idea of Hydra. The horns are cool and the logo on his chest looks awesome. Great originality here. King of Kings: What is that? I've seen better things back in 2005...I don't have enough energy to say all the things wrong with this...I'm not sure what throwback means but I'm guessing it means to make something that looks like its from 2006? Well nevertheless, the parts that are shaded are well done and have excellently executed highlights Vote: Hurricane, no doubt. Great work to everyone in this PPV, I'm thinking of sticking around and possibly signing up for the next one.

Throwback matches are meant to be old-school looking. Using older/simpler temps is the basic idea

MS World ChampionshipIm voting for Masson here. Both micros look great but i like Massons more. Masson, i really like this micro, great work on the shaping all around but i feel the hands are looking the other way. The costume looks great and the shading is really well done. AC, nice Boba Fett. Great work on the costume, but it seems to lack "variety" of shading on same places like in the pants and torso armour. MS Tag Team ChampionshipsMy vote goes to HurriClaAsick. In both teams, there is a micro that stands out more than the other and in the team of HC, Hurricanes is the best, as it is of the bunch. I feel like Gav has made a great work with his, but it seems as if it need more AA between the colours. JX, awesome micro. Everything looks great. AC, the micro looks great and smooth, but the design is quite simple. Exhibition MatchAlex, awesome micro as always. Number One Contender's MatchReally tought decision, but my vote goes to JX. The complexity of the costume helped. Hurricane, really good micro, the shading on the pants is excelent, but i feel JX stands out more. Exhibition MatchDragonburger gets my vote. Imo, his is better than the others overall. The designs and the shading are really well done. Dave, nice micro, but i still think you need more work with AA, even though it shows progress. SPZ, interesting micro. I think the shaping needs work, specially on the legs. The chair is a nice addition. Next Gen, you've made much better micros than this one, but that doesnt mean this one is bad, but you seemed to be on a roll, and i expected better. Good micro overall though, but it needs more work on the shading. Throwback MatchIm voting for Hurricane on this one. Great concept design. It looks really cool, great work on the shading and shaping. KOK,it's not a bad micro, but it needs work on the shading and lacks AA in various parts. I like the body paint though. DragonBurger, it's not traced. I just used this www.manufato.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/goro-wip-19.jpg as reference.

For those who aren't familiar with JX and I's micros, they're Zhou Tai and Deng Ai from the Dynasty Warriors 7 videogame.

Masson vs. AC:Both are really solid, interesting micros. Masson, very colourful and the pose is really good too. My only critique is that the shading is a little... dirty? in some areas. For example, the helmet. Instead of looking rounded and glass-like, it looks a bit square and dirty. Very good micro overall, though. AC, really good micro. I think for the most-part. AC, yours is a really good micro, but just a LITTLE more to the shading would have pushed it beyond. This only took me 5 minutes and, in my opinion, it makes the micro so much more interesting. This is what I mean by "using shades more", as I've said to people for years. That doesn't mean to add more shades, it means to use the ones you have better. Cover more ground. Use the mid-shades for creases as well as the darks. It just helps make the micros pop more. Very close, but I give this to Masson. Tag Match:Good luck guys. Here is a quick edit I done for you, Gav, hopefully it can help you. I notice you tend to go from the lightest colours to the darkest colours without any blending/building. Try to make it more gradual, and blend the colours into the (in this case) black background. It will just help smoothen it out. Alex vs. ErmolliBoth of these are really, really good. Alex, amazing work as always. Armour looks fantastic and it's a massive improvement over the old one. The sword and the metal...tentacle things are great too. Ermolli, really good and really interesting. Muscle work is really, really good. Having said that, I tend to prefer micros standing like normal micros do. Great work by both of you. I thought I'd stick with the flow and do an edit to help you improve your micro too, Alex. Here ya go. Better luck next time. My vote: AlexExhibition Match:All four are okay, but for me there are two standouts, being Dragonburger and SPZ. I really like both, but the shading on Dragonburger's micro. The style is amazing, and that means my vote is for him.

And that's why Cane is usually voted Most Helpful board member in our awards. You've gone out of your way to show us how to change things and I'll take this on board in future, to the micros where it is applicable.
