To be fair. I honestly thought the head was slightly small when I saw it too. You're right that not everyone needs cartoonishly large heads, but at the same time you have to understand we've been looking at larger heads 97.5% of the time for several years. When we are used to bigger heads, yours does in fact look tiny, even though it is realistically proportionate. I disagree with JX saying it has to be a few pixels wider and a few pixels higher, but I think it would benefit from being literally SLIGHTLY bigger.
It is just preference though, which is why half mentioned it and half didn't. I disliked one of JX's micros recently that everyone else loved. It is what it is. Having said that, as I said before, I believe you made the better micro regardless and should have won.

I think the draw is pretty fair both micros look fantastic for completely different reasons. Cane's micro has awesome shading while Gav's has great detail but both have great resemblence to who you were making.
My vote was hard to pick as would everyone elses and tbh the odds of a draw with how little voters we had is higher then usual so no need to point fingers at how people vote, it was a great match up and i'm sure the rematch will be just as good.

I'm happy to lose to Cane. Well, not ecstatic 'cos I'm not a jobber but he made something great and it was probably a matchup where nobody deserved to lose and the match was rightfully close. I won't fight for the title for a while yet 'cos there are others who are just as deserving of a shot.
I think one of the factors in this debate, which I hadn't mentioned yet, is that in making Drax I made the torso quite larger than my usual ones to fit his huge physique. You can see this particularly in his shoulders and neck. I actually did make the head template 2 pixels wider than usual too but you don't notice it because of the enlargened torso and wide neck. Even I don't notice it.
I've tried making larger heads in the past and it doesn't really work for me. If the eyes are left in the usual position then it looks like he has a small face. If you move them out then the eyes look far apart. If you make the eyes bigger it loses resemblance and so on. In the end I go for the option that gives the most resemblance.

I think for my next micro I'll make the head fifty fucking times bigger to stop the bullshit small comments. One or two pixels larger is not going to make it infinitely better and usually detracts from the resemblance. It looks like Drax and is proportionately and anatomically correct. Sure, the larger cartoony head is great for some of us but don't believe that it has to be applied to every micro that every person makes. I don't mind losing to Cane 'cos he's awesome and I've lost to him plenty of times before. Won plenty too. But you gotta come up with more valid reasons. If the size of the head meant that I was losing detail in the face then I'd understand. But I missed nothing out. in terms of realistic head size, your head is actually still too big. The average human body is about 6.5-7 heads high and someone like Drax is more like 8-9 heads high, your micro is about 5.5 heads big. Imo the problem with your micros is that they are stuck in limbo between realistically proportioned and the caricature-like proportions most micros are, I think I did the same with my Boogeyman micro tbh. Aside from the head there are some proportional issues with the body; the arms are too stumpy typically arms fall to just below the crotch on a standing figure with the elbow being in line with the belly button the arms are also usually 1 head length for the upper arm and one for the lower then about 3/4 a head for a hand, the torso is also somewhat out of proportion usually the distance from the neck to the bottom of the pecs, from the bottom of the pecs to the belly button and from the belly button to the bottom of the crotch are the same. Sorry if this seems rude especially considering that I didn't vote but I just saw this and figured maybe you'd like specifics since I know it can be annoying to be criticized on proportion without being told specifically what's wrong. Don't get me wrong you're by no means the worst offender of misproportioning and for the most part micros only work with poor proportions but if you wanted some specifics on realistic proportions here they are.
