Amazing night. We went to Melbourne early and caught up with older brother and family friend whom I barely see anymore. We went to the arena at 4pm, and doors opened at 6pm. Despite the short time, we got FRONT ROW DEAD CENTRE!
They sounded great, the show was fantastic. Lots of pyros, and a sweet laser show. They had lasers with pictures on them respresenting songs. For example, during Enter Sandman, it changed from lasers with clouds passing through them to the evil old guys face from the video. Pyros were amazing, especially during One.
The opening acts: Baroness (30 min set), Lamb of God (40-45 minute set).
It was Kirk's birthday, so they had a fat dude dressed as Snow White dance for him onstage before the whole crew and band covered him with silly stream and cream pies. They threw out guitar picks at the end and I got Kirk's (and got punched in the head because obviously someone else wanted it too), my older brother got James's pick as well as a World Magnetic inflateable ball that dropped during Seek & Destroy.
The highlight of the night was definitely Nothing Else Matters, as James was RIIIIGHT in front of us sitting down playing it the whole song, which was absolutely amazing.
When watching this video, we were literally 4-5 feet in front of James.
Warning: Big Pics
