Wait, they're against censorship....but censor our banner. Fuck off. That's kind of the point of it. If the bill passes and America get to censor and destroy sites, places like Wikipedia won't be usable at all. Also, MJH just said he put it there, who are these 'They' you are speaking about?

"They" are the people who are against censorship but contradict themselves by doing things like putting black boxes on things or taking down their site for the day (looking at you theCHIVE.)
The first I've heard of this SOPA thing is on this thread.

self censoring is in protest of SOPA, whilst it likely wont effect us if passed the bill is written in a way that implies if someone were to join this site and post content belonging to the US then they could just take down the whole website. It's essentially like nuking a house to get rid of cockroaches, but the cockroaches just scuttle off somewhere else whilst the the house is left wrecked.
in the worst scenario imagine not being able to post wwe micros because they infringe on copyright and any attempt to post them will cause the website to be taken down.

Reminds me of the whole celebrity super injunctions and Twitter debacle last year. There is no way to censor the internet. People just wouldn't stand for that nonsense.

Heaps of backers pulled from SOPA support. Obama has also refused to support them as is. Seems like a failing quest.
