My Road to WrestleManiaAlright guys, so in the spirit of the WrestleMania season, I have put out my predictions for what we will see at MetLife Stadium come April. Let me know what you think, and feel free to post your predictions too.
Despite Punk holding the title in this picture, I actually expect Rock to be walking into WrestleMania holding the title, perhaps not even the spinner title, but this rumoured new belt coming out. Anywho, yeah, Rock to win at 'Rumble. Come Elimination Chamber, Cena should win the Rumble the RAW one at EC for the right to face The Rock at WrestleMania. Punk either wins the Rumble, or uses his rematch clause and boom, we have a Triple Threat main event.
This way, we don't see Rock/Cena II (which would kinda tarnish the first, which wasn't all that great to begin with), and considering each of these three have strong beef with each other, it should work.
"You wanna do it?"
I wanna see it. Screw Brock/Trips II. The way I see it, they will tease the rematch, but ultimately one of these two will throw the gauntlet down to the other. No Holds Barred works for these two, as Undertaker's last three WrestleMania outings, and Brock's past two matches over 2012 both fell under this category.
Orton is a heel. Sheamus is a face. I expect either Orton or Sheamus to defeat Big Show at the Royal Rumble, and then after a title switch at the Elimination Chamber, this match is set up.
But the way I see it, it is win-win for both of these guys. Orton has paid his WrestleMania dues, losing out to Triple H at 25, and having non-title matches at the past three Manias. Sheamus is being built to be a massive star, and considering his match last year, I expect them to give him a legitimate match this time.
Big men match. This could also be for the World Title if Show goes for a full dominance run and Ryback wins the Royal Rumble, leaving Orton/Sheamus as a grudge match.
Basically only exists so Ryback can get the shit beaten out of him, then can hit the highlight-moment of a Shellshocked on Big Show.
I'm calling Team Hell No to last through to WrestleMania. If they don't, I expect a singles match and then replace these guys with two or three other teams in some tag team clusterfuck match.
Otherwise, Rhodes Scholars provide the perfect foil for Team Hell No. Rhodes and Sandow are fucking gold, and it prevents all four from getting lost in the shuffle of meaningless WrestleMania matches.
Controversial call, but Eve is the best diva in the business right now. She has been the only one besides AJ to get any spotlight, and considering her heel gimmick, I expect some "I am the greatest diva of all time" bullshit to occur.
Cue Trish. Either way, either Eve gets put over by IMO, the greatest diva of all time or Trish gets a WrestleMania moment that doesn't involve Snooki and gives the fans at home a good face win.
Cue the clusterfuck match. I kept it six-man, because it works for me, but I don't have a clue what will happen. The Shield need to be on that card, and this gives the newly-face Miz and Del Rio something to do. Henry's spot could be filled with just about anyone.
One of the best veterans, and a past Intercontinental Champion puts over the man who in my opinion, is arguably one of the best wrestlers WWE has to offer.
The end.
Need I explain? Cesaro hates America. Cue the All-American American, face and all, with the US pride. Because apparently Vince hasn't realised flag feuds aren't relevant anymore... at least to those not from the US.
Why waste Ziggler on this shit, you ask? Open the show with this, I'd still like to see it happen. Good ten minute match, Ziggler goes over. Maybe a handshake at the end.
...then wait for the end of the World Heavyweight Championship match. KA-CHING. CASH IN. 1. 2. 3. ZIGGLER IS CHAMPION. Also, we finally get to see a WrestleMania cash-in.
