So here is my new idea. Rather than doing a normal booking, I'm going to rebook an angle that I loved but thought could have been done so much better, the Invasion angle. Things will be done differently from the way the WWF at the time did them. Rather than focusing on the entire roster, I'll only be using people that will play a role in the angle as a whole. There will be plenty of people used, so don't fear, I'll have more than 6 or 7 guys haha I'll be starting with WrestleMania X-7 and working on from there till the end of the angle. I will not be using Chris Benoit in this for obvious reasons. He was injured for most of 2001 anyways. Quick Back Story
On the final Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania X-7, Vince McMahon shocked the world by announcing that he had bought his competition, World Championship Wrestling. As the show went on, McMahon boasted about how he now owned WCW and that their fate was in his hands. As the show came to a close, McMahon was in the ring bragging some more while the ending to the final WCW Monday Night Nitro was shown on the titan tron. It was at that time that Shane McMahon walked out in Panama City, Florida at WCW's final show and shocked the world and his father when he announced that the name on the purchase of WCW read "McMahon", however, it read Shane McMahon. Shane pulled the carpet out from under his father and revealed that he now owned WCW. This added even more fuel to the rivalry between son and father. The two will square off in a street fight at WrestleMania!

Quick ResultsWWF Intercontinental Championship Chris Jericho defeated William Regal to retain @ 7:08A great back a forth contest. Jericho picked up the win after nailing the Lionsault.6 Man Tag Team Match The APA & Tazz defeated The Right To Censor @ 3:52Not much of a match. APA & Tazz made quick work of RTC with Bradshaw putting Goodfather away with a huge Clothesline From Hell.WWF Hardcore Championship Kane defeated Raven & Big Show @ 9:17A very good hardcore battle that went all over the arena. The ending came when Kane nailed a huge diving elbow drop off the stage onto Big Show to win the Hardcore Title.WWF European Championship Eddie Guerrero defeated Test @ 8:30A very good match up for the European Title. It was more of a 1 on 3 when Saturn and Malenko got involved in the match which allowed Guerrero to hit Test with the European Title behind the referee's back to pick up the win and the title.Father vs Son Street Fight Special Guest Referee: Mick Foley Vince McMahon vs Shane McMahonA great, brutal contest between the father and son. Both of them brought everything they had but the shocking ending came when it looked like Vince had the match won until Kevin Nash came through the crowd and entered the ring. After a brief moment of staring down Vince, he kicked him in the face with a big boot and then gave him a huge Jacknife Powerbomb, allowing Shane to pick up the win. Kevin Nash and Shane McMahon exited through the crowd as Jim Ross & Paul Heyman talked about how Shane owns WCW and all of the talent that was contracted with them, but wonder what the hell Kevin Nash was doing here.WWF Tag Team Chamionships Tables, Ladders, & Chairs II The Dudley Boyz(c) vs Edge & Christian vs The Hardy BoyzAn awesome match up here. A lot of huge moments in the match that made the crowd go nuts. All three teams gave it there all. Spike Dudley, Rhyno, and Lita even got involved near the end of the match. The ending came after Matt Hardy and Bubba Dudley were on top of a ladder that was pushed over by Rhyno, sending them crashing through some tables at ringside. Rhyno then helped Christian hurry up the ladder, giving Edge & Christian the win and making them once again Tag Team Champions.Grudge Match "The American Bad Ass" The Undertaker vs "The Game" Triple HBefore the match, it was revealed that the winner of this match would get a shot at the WWF Championship at Backlash. This was another great contest that spilled out into the crowd and over by the staging after the referee was taken out. Triple H was chokeslammed off a platform by The Undertaker onto the floor and then Undertaker dove on on him with a huge elbow. They made it back to the ring where Triple H used his sledgehammer to stop Undertaker from nailing him with the Last Ride, which busted Undertaker open. The ending came when Triple H had Undertaker in the corner and was giving him a series of punches to the head while on the second turnbuckle. Triple H stopped to taunt and that signaled his end. Undertaker nailed him with a huge Last Ride to pick up the win. He is now 9-0 at WrestleMania.WWF Championship Anything Goes Match The Rock(c) vs "Stone Cold" Steve AustinThe final match of the night, and the best one of the night. Both guys brought it all and left it all in the ring. It was a very bloody and brutal war between two of the all time greats in the WWF. Rock gave Austin a Stunner, and Austin gave Rock as Rock Bottom but neither man would stay down. Austin nailed a huge Stunner on The Rock and he was sure it was over but Rock kicked out just before the three to the surprise of Austin. The two fought on a little more and then Rock nailed a huge Rock Bottom but Austin was able to kick out of that. Rock looked on in shock and then signaled for another one. He worked his way behind Austin, waiting on the perfect moment to hit him with another Rock bottom. As he moved in and got Austin in the hold, Austin broke free and nailed a second Stunner that almost sent The Rock out of the ring. Austin quickly grabbed him for the pinfall and he kicked out! Austin look shocked and then picked Rock up and went for a third Stunner, but Rock countered out of that and then nailed Austin with a second Rock Bottom but it took everything out of Rock. Both men laid motionless and then started making their way back to their feet. They met in the center of the ring and traded punches. Rock got the upperhand with punches and then whipped Austin into the ropes and nailed him with the spinebuster. Rock did his signature removal of the elbow pad and then ran off the ropes, but on the way back Austin quickly got back to his feet and caught Rock with a third giant Stunner that nearly sent The Rock out of his boots. Austin hooked the leg, picking up the win, and the WWF Championship.Austin celebrated with the WWF Title as Rock laid spread eagle in the middle of the ring. The final shot of the night was Austin on the turnbuckle with the WWF Title held high in the air.

No Austin heel turn? Interesting, but I'm keen to see where this goes. Austin never should have lead the Alliance, they should have had a powerful WCW main-eventer so yeah, well played.

A recap video of WrestleMania X-7 was shown. Photo stills were shown of the top matches on the card and ended with a shot of Stone Cold with the WWF Title held high. The camera's open up in the arena as "Thorn in Your Eye" plays and the pyrotechnics blast off around the staging. The camera's pan through the crowd and then cut to Jim Ross and Paul Heyman sitting ringside. They talk about what a phenomenal success WrestleMania was and then go over a little bit of what happened. Jim Ross announces that Vince McMahon is in the building and will address what happened in his street fight later on in the show. Paul Heyman adds that he is looking forward to what Mr. McMahon has to say after that shocking ending to the street fight. Jim Ross then says they are going to go to the ring for the first match up of the night. 6 Man Tag Test & The APA defeated The Radicalz(Saturn, Malenko, & Guerrero)A good opening contest that saw the new European Champion, Eddie Guerrero in action. The match went on for a few minutes before coming to an end after Test nailed Saturn with a Big Boot for the three.Michael Cole was shown in the back trying to get an interview with Triple H after his loss to The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Triple H said that he has nothing but respect for 'Taker after last night and that is because he did exactly what he said he would do. Cole asked Triple H what's next for him and Triple H responded with "I'm not sure, but I always make the best of a bad situation." before walking off. After a brief commercial break, the camera's open on a long black limo pulling up outside the arena. Paul Heyman says that's gotta be Mr. McMahon and he's here to address what happened last night. The camera's cut away from the limo and go to the ring where we have our next match. Chris Jericho defeated Val Venis via submissionHalfway through the match, Commissioner Regal made his way to ringside. This came as a distraction to Jericho but it didn't effect him enough to cost him the match. He eventually locked in the Walls of Jericho on Venis for the win.Following the match, the rest of the members of RTC hit the ring and began a beat down on the helpless Jericho until Kurt Angle came running to the ring. Angle and Jericho fought off the RTC and the crowd went nuts for Angle helping Jericho. Commissioner Regal looked unhappy that Angle came to the aid of Jericho. Mr. McMahon is shown exiting the limo outside the arena and heading inside and towards the ring as we went to a commercial break. Upon returning from the break, footage of the street fight between Vince and Shane McMahon is shown with the shocking ending of Kevin Nash giving Vince McMahon a Jacknife Powerbomb that allowed Shane to pick up the win. Mr. McMahon made his way to the ring and demanded his music stop. He said he's going to cut to the chase and that is that last night at WrestleMania, he was screwed. He said that Kevin Nash is not a WWF contracted talent and he had no business what so ever getting involved in that match. As Vince is talking, he is cut off by Shane McMahon who is shown on the big screen with Kevin Nash standing beside him. Shane said that when he bought WCW last week, he legally obtained all of the WCW contracted talent and now they all work for him. Vince demands that Shane face him in a rematch at Backlash to which Shane informs Vince that he doesn't work for the WWF, so that's not gonna happen and then he says he has to go because he has a company's future to handle. The screen goes black and Vince looks on pissed off as we got to a break. Back from break, we see Vince McMahon getting in his limo and yelling at his driver to get him the hell out of here. Back in the arena, Jim Ross announces that Commissioner Regal has just signed a huge match for Backlash. He announces that due to The Undertaker winning a shot at the championship last night, and The Rock having a contract clause that gives him a rematch for the WWF Title, we will see The Undertaker versus The Rock versus the new WWF Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin in a Triple Threat Match! Jim Ross then says but that's not all, because he also made the main event for tonight a huge tag team match putting opponents from WrestleMania on a team when The Undertaker teams up with Triple H to face off with The Rock and Stone Cold! Hardcore Championship Kane defeated Crash Holly to retainCrash put up a good effort, but Kane was too big for him and put Crash away with a huge chokeslam through a table. As Kane was leaving the ring, he was attacked by Raven with a chair. Raven blasted Kane over the head with the chair and then gave Kane a Raven Effect on the same chair. Raven then took advantage of the 24/7 rule and pinned Kane to win the Hardcore Title! Raven grabbed the title and hurried off before Kane got to his feet. After a quick commercial break, the camera's open on Michael Cole who is standing by with The Undertaker. He asks Undertaker about his thoughts on being in a triple threat match for the title at Backlash. Undertaker says he is completely fine with it, because he's always up for a challenge and there's no bigger challenge than facing two of the best in the business. Undertaker then talks about the main event tonight and warns Triple H not to try any funny business out there. Kurt Angle defeated X-Pac by DQA really good back and forth match that saw X-Pac try and steal win with his feet on the ropes. The ending came when Angle looked to have it won after an Angle Slam, but then RTC hit the ring and attacked Angle. Richards gave Angle a superkick that floored him and then they all bolted as Jericho came to Angle's aid with a chair in hand. Jericho helped Angle to his feet as we went to a break. After returning from the break, Paul Heyman and Jim Ross showed footage of the TLC II match up and informed everyone that all 3 teams would be back in action on Smackdown. "The One" Billy Gunn defeated The Big Show by countoutA good match up that saw Show almost get the win off a huge legdrop on Gunn. The end of the match up came when the two were fighting on the outside and Gunn took what looked to be a cheap shot by kicking Show low, but the referee couldn't see it clearly. Gunn slid back in the ring and Show wasn't able to make the 10 count. Gunn celebrated like he won the world title and had a cocky grin on his face as Jim Ross wondered what the hell had gotten into him.The camera's cut backstage where we see Rock and Austin meeting up. Rock says that last night, Austin was the better man. He says he respects Austin and then offers a handshake. Austin says he isn't here to shake hands and be friends, but he does respect the hell of a fight he got out of Rock last night. Austin walks past Rock and heads to the ring as Raw went to a quick break. Back in the arena, Jim Ross and Paul Heyman talk about this huge main event tag match as all of the competitors make their way to the ring. Main Event "Stone Cold" Steve Austin & The Rock defeated The Undertaker & Triple H via pinfallA great tag team match. All 4 men brought it and it showed. There were many near falls throughout the match up. Undertaker thought he had the win off a big chokeslam on The Rock but Austin broke up the pin fall. The 4 men battled a little longer, but the end came when Undertaker accidentally nailed Triple H with a big boot, knocking him out of the ring. This got Triple H angry and he ended up leaving the match as a 2 on 1. Undertaker turned around after the confrontation with Triple H right into a Stunner from Austin and Austin picked up the three.Triple H backed up the ramp holding his jaw, looking angry at Undertaker. Meanwhile, Austin and Rock had a stare down and tension was building as the two mouthed at one another. After a moment, Rock extended his hand again to Austin, but Austin responded with a kick to the gut and a Stunner. Austin posed with the WWF Title on the turnbuckles and a beer in his hand as Raw came to an end with Triple H standing on the ramp, while Undertaker and Rock laid in the ring and Austin was on the ropes with the WWF Title. Jim Ross said "Oh man, you don't wanna miss Smackdown!"

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma April 5, 2001The show kicked off with Tazz and Michael Cole talking about what happened at the end of Raw during the huge tag team main event. Cole informs the audience that all 4 men are in the building and to expect an explosive episode of Smackdown! Tag Team Match The Dudley Boyz defeated The Right To Censor(Bull & Goodfather) via pinfallA good opening tag team match. A lot of heavy hitters in this one, but the Dudleyz proved why they are one of the best tag teams in the business by nailing Bull with a 3D for the win.Footage from early in the day of Triple H arriving to the arena is shown along with his wife Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. Lillian Garcia attempted to get a statement from him about what happened on Raw. All he said was that he will explain his actions later. After a commercial break, the cameras came back to Commissioner Regal standing by with The Hardy Boyz. He commended them on their performance during TLC II and informed them that Jeff will have a match with Rhyno tonight, and Matt will face off with one half of the tag team champions, Christian. Singles Match "The One" Billy Gunn defeated K-Kwik via pinfallThe match went back and forth for a couple of minutes until Gunn cheapshotted Kwik with a thumb to the eye and then put him away with the One & Only. Gunn got a microphone and said that everyone is seeing the new and improved Billy Gunn and he's not here to make friends. The show went to a quick commercial and then returned to a shot of The Undertaker arriving to the arena on his motorcycle. He didn't look happy as he walked into the arena. Singles Match Rhyno defeated Jeff Hardy via pinfallJeff still showed signs of pain from TLC II, but that didn't stop him from going all out. Jeff took it to Rhyno, however because he wasn't one hundred percent, Rhyno was able to pick up the win after avoiding the whisper in the wind and nailing Jeff with the Gore.Triple H is shown heading towards the ring as Michael Cole informs everyone that he is going to speak after a quick break Back in the arena after break, Triple H makes his way out to the ring. He says that he's been asked why he walked out on Undertaker on Raw and he said he thought it was obvious. He said he told Undertaker how much he respected him earlier in the night on Raw and he gets repaid by getting kicked in the face? This brings out Undertaker who claims that he didn't intend to hit Triple H but it was a wrong place, wrong time thing. Triple H calls that crap and Undertaker claims they can settle their differences right now. Undertaker heads down towards the ring as Commissioner Regal hurries out on stage and says if they want to fight, they'll do it in the main event. Michael Cole plugs that he conducted a sit down interview with The Rock and Stone Cold earlier in the day and that they footage will be shown later in the show. After a break, Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle are shown in the back. They thank each other for the help on Raw and then Jericho says he was informed that he's got a match with Steven Richards tonight and Angle says he has his back. Singles Match Matt Hardy defeated Christian via pinfallA really good match up. Edge was at ringside with Christian but got ejected for trying to get involved in the match earlier on. The ending came when Christian went for a middle rope elbow drop but took too long taunting and missed. Matt took advantage and put Christian away with the Twist of Fate for the win.A recap video from Raw of what transpired between Vince and Shane McMahon on raw is shown before a commercial Singles Match Steven Richards defeated Chris Jericho by pinfallJericho had the match under control for the most part and looked to be on his way to winning until Richards shoved him off and Jericho bumped into the ref. As the ref was dazed, Richards low blowed Jericho and rolled him up, using the tights for extra leverage for the win. Richards quickly left the ring and backed up the ramp, only to be stopped by Kurt Angle. Angle chased Richards back to the ring where Jericho locked him into the Walls of Jericho and then Commissioner Regal came out. Regal informed Jericho and Angle that they would compete on Raw in a handicap match against Bull Buchanan, The Goodfather, and Val Venis.Michael Cole announces that his sit down interview with Stone Cold and The Rock is up next, after the break. The video of the sit down interview is shown. Cole asks both men their feelings towards one another and Austin says it's like he said on Raw, he respects Rock, but isn't here to shake hands and be friends. He said if Rock offers him a handshake again, he'll get another Stunner. Rock tells Austin from now on, he'll use his hand to slap Austin upside his dumb, redneck head. Tension builds between the two and eventually leads to a brawl and Cole ditches the interview. The two fight until a team of referees runs in to break it up. Cole says that the interview didn't go as planned obviously, and there seems to be a lot of hatred between the men, despite claiming they respect one another. Main Event The Undertaker & Triple H fought to a no contestThe match never really got underway as Triple H and Undertaker go into in the aisle way as Triple H made his way to the ring. The two fought all over ringside. Triple H pulled out a steel chair and used it to smash Undertaker over the back. Triple H then tried to smash it over Undertaker's head, but Undertaker kicked the chair back into Triple H's face, knocking him to the ground. Undertaker cleared off the announcers table and looked like he was going to put Triple H through it until Kevin Nash once again came through the crowd behind Undertaker. He attacked Undertaker from behind and then gave him a huge Jacknife Powerbomb through the table as Triple H watched on in disbelief. Nash stared at Triple H and then exited through the crowd, like he came.Smackdown came to an end as Cole and Tazz wondered if Triple H had something to do with this, and if he's secretly working with Shane McMahon. The final shot of the night is of Undertaker laying unconscious on the destroyed announcers table.

The Fleet Center Boston, Massachusetts April 9, 2001WATCH THE VIDEOAfter the interrupted intro, Raw kicks off with Jim Ross and Paul Heyman wondering what in the hell is going on. Jim Ross says "How in the hell did that damn Eric Bischoff get into the live feed of Monday Night RAW?!" They are then interrupted by the music of the owner of the WWF, Vince McMahon. Vince gets in the ring and angrily demands his music be stopped. McMahon says he wants to know just what in the hell is going on and how in the hell Eric Bischoff popped up on his show. Vince calls out Shane McMahon who then appears on the titan tron. Shane greets him by saying "Hi, Dad." Vince gets pissed and tells Shane to give him answers. Shane goes on to say that he even though he doesn't owe his father anything, he can't give him answers. He says he is merely funding the new WCW, but he isn't the brains behind the operation. Shane finishes by telling Vince that soon, he'll get his answers. The screen then goes black and Vince stands in the ring, looking angry as we go to a break. Opening Match "The One" Billy Gunn defeated Spike Dudley via pinfallA good opening contest. Spike showed a ton of heart, but Gunn was too big and over powered him. He eventually put Spike away with the One & Only for the win.Gunn grabbed Spike after the match and attempted to give him another One & Only until Big Show's music hit. Show came down to the ring but Gunn fled through the crowd as Big Show looked on in anger. Backstage we see Vince McMahon standing by with Triple H. He questions Triple H about Kevin Nash coming through the crowd on Smackdown and it appeared, helping Triple H in the match against Undertaker. Triple H swears he had nothing to do with that and claims he hasn't spoken to Kevin Nash in months. The Undertaker then walks into the picture. He tells Triple H they have bigger things to worry about but if he finds out Triple H had anything at all to do with what happened on Smackdown, he'll get his. -commercial-Coming back from the break, the Right To Censor are making their way to the ring for a tag team contest. Tag Team Match Chris Jericho & Kurt Angle defeated The Goodfather & Bull Buchanan by DQA really good tag team contest that saw Jericho and Angle blend well as a team. They kept the match under control until Steven Richards tried to get involved but the referee ejected him from ringside. As the referee was busy with Richards, Val Venis entered the ring with a chair and struck Angle over the head. The referee turned to see this and DQ'd the RTC.All 4 members of the RTC entered the ring and started putting the boots to Angle and Jericho until the APA hit the ring and cleared house. This brought out Commissioner Regal who booked a huge 8 man tag team match for Smackdown between Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, & The APA against the Right To Censor. -commercial-After returning from break, Jim Ross announces that the main event has been booked and The Undertaker will go one on one with The Rock! WWF Hardcore Championship Raven defeated Crash Holly, Rhyno, & Kane to retainA great hardcore war between these three. It spread all over the arena before finally making it back to the ring. In the final minutes of the match, Kane made his way down to ringside, making it a fourway. Kane gave Crash a huge chokeslam onto a garbage can but was then Gored through a table in the corner by Rhyno. Rhyno turned right into a Raven Effect onto a chair by Raven, for Raven to pick up the win.Raven grabbed the Hardcore Title from the referee and hurried off before Kane could get to his feet. Commissioner Regal announces that in order to keep peace, he has given the WWF Champion, Stone Cold, the night off. The crowd boos loudly at this decision but then Regal says he will be in action on Smackdown against a to be determined opponent. -commercial-WWF Light Heavyweight Championship Dean Malenko defeated Essa Rios to retainA great contest that saw Rios nearly pick up the win after a huge moonsault on Malenko. Malenko quickly took advantage and locked in the Cloverleaf for the win.Malenko got on the microphone after the match and said he will go down as the best lightweight in the world Lilian Garcia interviews The Hardy Boyz about how they're feeling since TLC. Matt says that Jeff is still a little banged up, but they're here to do business. They challenge any tag team in the WWF to meet them in the ring. -commercial-Tag Team Match The Hardy Boyz w/ Lita defeated Too Cool by pin fallA great tag team contest that the crowd was very much into. There were lots of nearfalls and neither team had a clear advantage over the other. The experience of Matt and Jeff showed to be the difference maker as they were able to put Too Cool away after Matt nailed Scotty with a Twist of Fate and then Jeff nailed the Swanton for the win. Both teams shook hands following the match but were interrupted by Edge & Christian. E&C called both teams major losers because they weren't the WWF Tag Team Champions. This led to E&C saying they could do anything that the Hardys could do, and they could do it better. They then laid out their own open challenge to any team for a match on Smackdown. Triple H is shown approaching Vince McMahon backstage and says he's going to be ringside during the main event to make sure that no one gets involved in the match. McMahon says that sounds like a great idea, but tells him not to screw it up. -commercial-Back in the arena, it is almost time for the main event when a commotion is shown in the crowd. Suddenly the cameras focus on whats going on and we see Kevin Nash and Scott Hall walking down the stairs. Security stops them and then they proceed to show that they have tickets to be in the crowd, watching the show. Triple H makes his way out as Hall & Nash end up sitting front row. Triple H asks them what the hell they're doing to which Nash replies "We're here to watch some wrasslin'!" Triple H remained at ringside throughout the match to keep an eye on Hall and Nash. Undertaker and Rock went back and forth and neither man ever got an advantage over the other. The match went back and forth a little longer, but then the referee was accidentally caught in the path of a big boot from Undertaker that laid him out. Hall and Nash made a commotion at ringside that took Triple H's attention away from the ring. As his back way turned, X-Pac ran down to the ring and blasted Undertaker over the head with a chair after Undertaker had just given Rock a huge Last Ride. Pac quickly rolled The Rock over on top of Undertaker as the referee came to and The Rock got the win. Pac quickly exited the ring and went through the crowd. Triple H saw none of this play out as he was busy with Hall, Nash, and security. Hall and Nash then said "We'll leave now." to security and calmly walked away through the crowd. Triple H turned to see the replay on the titan tron of the final moments of the match with a shocked look on his face. Rock & Undertaker laid in the ring, not moving, and Vince McMahon walked out on the stage and shouted at Triple H in anger as Raw came to an end.
