WWE RAW | Monday Jan. 7th, 2013The show opens with a vignette for tonight's main event, the TLC Match for the WWE Championship. When it finished, the cameras went ringside and CM Punk's music hit. Punk came out to the stage, where he was followed by Paul Heyman, who held the title up high. When he made it to the ring he had to wait for the boos to die down before he could speak. "How typical. After all this time, as your reigning, defending WWE Champion, I still don't get the respect that I deserve. My first match back after surgery, and I have to defend my title in a TLC match. This is ridiculous. Tonight I'll prove why I have this belt. Ryback has had plenty of chances, but I still walked out as WWE Champion every time. This is his last chance. I've got more important things to do, like kick Dwayne's ass at the Royal Rumble. A man who doesn't even deserve a shot at my title. I'm the one that's here week in and week out, while he's out making movies. Dwayne thinks he can just come and go as he pleases, but at the Royal Rumble I'm gonna beat him so bad, he won't ever come back for another match." He yelled Best in the World and headed backstage. Lawler and Cole mention MizTV will be on RAW tonight, and they hyped up Punk vs Ryback as the cameras go to the ring.Rhodes Scholars def. The UsosThe opening match was a great match that went back and forth a lot. The Usos put up a good fight, but ended up losing in the end after Sandow hit the Terminus on Jey for the 3 count. Kofi Kingston def. TensaiTensai couldn't get much offense in, as he was cleary annoyed with the Albert chants at the start of the match. Kofi ended up hitting him with the Trouble in Paradise and won the match. MizTVTonight's episode of MizTV featured Wade Barrett. Miz asked him about his thoughts on his match tonight against the World Heavyweight Champion, Big Show. Barrett said he knows he can beat him, and when he does, he'll prove himself as a top contender. He was soon cut off by Dolph Ziggler's music. Dolph, AJ, and Big E. Langston came out. Ziggler told Wade that it doesn't matter if he wins his match tonight or not, the only person who truly deserves the World Heavyweight Championship is himself. And soon enough, it will be his. Ziggler and Barrett went face to face, and Miz tried to keep things from getting out of hand. Dolph pushed him away and Miz got angry. He told Dolph that he's not gonna let him come out here and try to screw up his show. He mentioned Dolph not being scheduled for a match tonight, so he said they should face off. Ziggler accepted and left the ring as the show goes to commercial break.Team Hell No def. Prime Time PlayersThis was another quality Tag Team Match. There was a lot of good teamwork, but by the end of the match, Kane and Bryan had the momentum. Kane was setting up for a Chokeslam on Darren Young, when The Shield come running in from the crowd. They beat down Team Hell No, as the ref called for a DQ. The crowd chanted FEED ME MORE, but Ryback never showed. When The Shield finally left the ring Prime Time Players stood in the ring, angry at the outcome. Back at the announce table, Cole and Lawler recap MizTV from earlier in the night, and announce that Ziggler vs Miz is up next.Dolph Ziggler def. The MizMiz had the upper hand on Ziggler and went for the Skull Crushing Finale. But Dolph fought out and hit Miz on the chin with a Superkick. Miz was down and out as Dolph covered him for the win. Ziggler celebrated in the ring and kissed AJ into the break. As the show comes back, Cole and Lawler say that later on tonight, John Cena will face Alberto Del Rio and a rematch from the Christmas Eve episode of RAW.Eve def. KaitlynKaitlyn had control for most of this short match. But Eve managed to catch her off guard with a quick roll-up to win. Wade Barrett def. Big ShowAfter a back and forth match, Big Show set up for the KO Punch, when AJ came skipping down the ramp and around the ring. She climbed up on the apron then tilted her head and smiled at Show. She distracted him long enough for Barrett to get up. He went behind Big Show, grabbed him and pulled him back to hit the Bull Hammer to pick up the win. A huge win for Barrett here, but he didn't get to celebrate for long. Dolph Ziggler's music hit and he came out with a referee and Langston. They got into the ring and Ziggler told Langston to get Big Show. He listened and picked him up to hit The Big Ending. Ziggler handed the ref the briefcase. The ref walked to the ropes to hand it off, but Barrett punched him in the face and laid him out. He headed towards the ramp, smirking while Ziggler threw a fit in the ring before the break.John Cena def. Alberto Del RioDel Rio was very aggressive in this match. Momentum went back and forth between the two all match long. Del Rio set Cena up in the corner for the Step-Up Enziguri, but Cena moved. He went on to go for the 5 Moves of Doom. He finally lifted Alberto up for the AA, but Del Rio escaped and went for another Enziguri. Cena managed to avoid it, then made Del Rio tap out with the STF. We go back to Cole and Lawler who recap Barrett ruining Ziggler's chance to cash in. Cole says he's just received word that Booker T has scheduled Wade Barrett vs Dolph Ziggler Friday night on Smackdown! They went on to talk about the main event for the WWE Championship coming up next, after the break.CM Punk def. RybackTables were broken, chairs were bent in, and bodies were battered. Toward the end of the match, Ryback set Punk up for Shellshocked. But Punk escaped and knocked Ryback out with a Roundhouse Kick. He slowly began climbing the ladder, and as he came closer to the top, The Shield's music hit. They came in through the crowd and Punk stood on the ladder shocked and confused. They hopped the barricades and got into the ring, staring at Punk. After a few moments, they finally turned their attention to Ryback. Punk quickly grabbed the belt to retain. Ambrose and Reigns beat Ryback down while Rollins went to get a table to set up. He brought one in and set it up in front of the turnbuckle. Reigns got on the second rope, where they set Ryback up for the Triple Powerbomb. Reigns jumped and Ryback was sent straight through the table. Kane and Daniel Bryan came down to the ring to help. Ambrose was Clotheslined over the top rope to the outside. Kane went after Reigns and Bryan went after Rollins. They fought it out until Ambrose and Punk joined in. Suddenly "If you smell, what The Rock, is cookin'" echoed throughout the arena. The Rock got a huge pop as he headed down to the ring. He got in and started throwing punches left and right to take out The Shield, then Clotheslined Punk. All 3 members rolled out of the ring, as did everyone else but Rock and Punk. Rock got ready for the Rock Bottom as the champion got up. He went for it, but Punk escaped in the nick of time. He grabbed his belt and took off up the ramp with Heyman. They cameras stayed on The Rock as the show faded out.
