WWE Smackdown! Friday, April 20th
Smackdown opened up with a recap of last week when Orton announced he's using his rematch clause at Extreme Rules. Then Jericho was shown announcing how he would be putting obstacles before Orton up until Extreme Rules. Clips of Orton's match and victory were shown, then the opening vignette showed. Mass fireworks go off as the show begins, then some of tonight's card is announced. Kidd and Bryan will finally go at it, but in a tag team match where they will both have a partner of their choosing. Christian makes his way to the ring for the opening match.
Opening Match: Single Match Christian vs Charlie Haas (w/ Shelton Benjamin)
The bell sound and the two go for a lock up, but Christian pokes Haas in the eye to take control. He nails a Fireman's Carry Gutbuster and runs the match mostly after that. Haas attempted to fight back, but Christian kept stopping him. Christian went to set up in the corner for the Spear, but Benjamin pulled his foot. Christian turned to kick Benjamin away, but Haas came from behind with a forceful German Suplex, dropping Christian right on his head. Charlie went on to get the win via Haas of Pain.
Chris Jericho's music hits and he comes to the ring with a microphone in hand. He talks about last week, and how Orton only won out of pure luck. He goes on to say good news for Orton is, he will only have to face one man tonight. But it won't be as easy as it may sound. His opponent is announced as "The Big Red Monster" Kane.
Jericho heads backstage and the camera goes to another part of the arena where Daniel Bryan is seen searching for a partner. He asks various people but gets rejected over and over.
Match 2: Singles Match Jack Swagger vs Justin Gabriel
The match began and the two circled the ring for a moment. Swagger runs for a Clothesline, but it's ducked. Gabriel hits 2 Arm Drags and a Dropkick to stun Swagger. Justin hits the ropes and nails a Springboard Crossbody, then goes for the pin but only gets a near fall. He lifts jack up, but Swagger fights his way back into the match with a few shots to the gut and then does a Belly to Belly Suplex, tossing Gabriel near the corner. Swagger takes off, then goes up in the air to hit the Corner Slingshot Splash. He goes for the pin, but Gabriel gets a foot on the rope. The match goes on and Swagger has control. Irish Whip. Gabriel comes back and goes for a Swinging Headscissors. He spins Swagger around about 4 times before finally taking him down. Gabriel heads up top for the finish. He leaps up and goes for the 450 Splash! He nails it for the win.
Once again, Daniel Bryan is seen backstage looking for a partner. After being denied by pretty much every other Superstar, his eyes light up when he sees someone that he knows won't turn him down.
Match 3: Singles Match Sheamus vs Wade Barrett
This one started out with a brawl. Both men threw a fury of fists, and Sheamus ends up winning it, taking the upper hand. He lifted Barrett up and hit a Front Powerslam, then went on to drop knees repeatedly to Wade's skull. Quick pin, but Wade kicks out. He rolls Wade out onto the apron then lifts him up to strike him with clubs to the chest. But Barrett powers out and hits Sheamus in the gut with a shoulder. He hit a European Uppercut and threw Sheamus to the ropes to plant him with the Spinebuster. Pin attempt and only 1. The match goes on for quite some time, going back and forth throughout. It ended with Barrett missing a Diving Elbow attempt, then getting knocked off his feet with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus goes for the pin and gets 3.
Randy Orton stands backstage in front of the camera.
Oh Jericho, it's amusing how you think your little plan is going to work. You actually think this is somehow going to wear me down so I won't be fighting at 100% at Extreme Rules? This is simply practice. Preparing me to kick your ass all over the arena. Go ahead and get your next man ready. Because tonight, just like last week, and Extreme Rules, i'll be leaving the arena victorious. Match 4:Tag Team MatchDaniel Bryan & William Regal vs Tyson Kidd & Cody Rhodes Kidd seemed a bit intimidated when Bryan came to the ring with his veteran mentor William Regal. But it didn't stop him from putting on a great match. It started out with Bryan going against Cody Rhodes. As soon as the bell rang, Bryan ran at Rhodes, going for a High Knee but he missed and landed right in front of Kidd who hit him with a right hook. Cody quickly came from behind and went for a School Boy but Bryan kicked out. He rolled back and got to his feet before Rhodes and dropped him with a Front Dropkick. Afterwards, Bryan went on to take control for a bit. He Irish Whipped Rhodes to the ropes but Cody held on and Kidd made a blind tag. He jumped up hit a Springboard Clothesline from the apron, then he and Cody double teamed Bryan while he was down. Regal ran in and attacked both of them. The ref finally broke it all up and sent Regal and Rhodes back to the apron. Kidd kept the upper hand against Bryan though. He nailed various maneuvers like a German Suplex and Pumphandle Gut Buster. Bryan was in desperate need of a tag. He finally got it after a Low Dropkick to Tyson which knocked him off his feet. As he was on his knees, Regal came in and knocked Kidd back down with a Running Knee Lift. He picked Kidd back up and connected with a Double Underhook Suplex and tried making him tap out with the Crossface Chickenwing. But Rhodes came in to stop him and almost took his head off with the Beautiful Disaster kick. Bryan ran in to go after Rhodes, but the ref stopped him. As the refs attention was on Bryan, Rhodes slid the MITB briefcase into Kidd. Regal was just getting back up, when Kidd smacked him in the side of the head with the briefcase! He slid the briefcase out of the ring and the ref turned around. Cody snuck up behind Bryan and pulled him off the apron. They brawled outside the ring as Kidd went for the pin. Bryan slides in but not in time to stop the count. Kidd and Rhodes get the win. Kidd rolls out of the ring and grabs his briefcase. He high fives Rhodes and they head up the ramp smiling. Bryan looks pissed and yells something at them while he checks on Regal.Main Event:Singles MatchRandy Orton vs Kane The main event kicked off and Orton went head to head with Kane from the beginning. He didn't back down and quickly started throwing kicks and punches. He eventually stunned Kane enough to Dropkick Kane out of the ring. Kane furiously entered the ring after getting up. Orton tried hitting him again but Kane blocked it and threw a half dozen Throat Thrusts and Uppercuts. He Irish whipped Orton and Randy ran into a Big Boot. Kane quickly went for the finish as he lifted Orton for a Chokeslam. But Orton slipped out and did an Inverted Backbreaker. It brought Kane down and Orton dropped a few knees. He dragged Kane to the apron and rolled him under the rope. He set him up on the second rope and nailed a DDT. He dropped down to the mat, waiting on Kane to get up for the RKO. But Chris Jericho is seen running down the ramp. He slides down into the ring for the DQ, but Orton just RKO'd him. He got right back up in time to RKO Kane as well. He picks up the 3 afterwards. Jericho rolled out of the ring and shouted at Orton. Orton just stared with an intimidating look on his face. Kane rolled out and headed up the ramp alongside Jericho. Orton posed on the turnbuckle and the show fades out.

WWE Raw Monday, April 23rd. Last Raw before Extreme Rules
The show opens up with a black screen saying: "Warning, the following video shows content that is only recommended for mature audiences. Viewer discretion is advised." A recap of what happened after the main event last week is shown. The group of masked men is shown first, then it goes on to show Age of the Fall's gruesome debut. As the video package ends, the opening Raw video is shown. Afterwards the camera goes ringside to Triple H who is holding a microphone.
I'm sure most of you know why I'm out here. But for those who don't know, I'm here to talk about what happened last week. The unexpected arrival of the Age of the Fall caught us all off guard. And I'll be the first to say, that is not what we're about here in the WWE. We do not approve of their actions, and the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible. I want to apologize to all of the fans who saw what happened. I'll be damned if something like that happens again. I have security watching all the doors to make sure those sadistic punks don't make it into the arena tonight.
Now that that's covered, onto tonight's agenda. The WWE Champion CM Punk is not he-
Suddenly Triple H is cut off by the voice of Jimmy Jacobs.
Oh, Hunter.
Triple H looks all over the place and can't find Jacobs. He says "Up here," and H looks up to the rafters where Age of the Fall is seen standing.
You're gonna have to do a little bit better than that if you expect to keep us out of the building. Especially if you plan to prevent us from getting a little "brutal" around here. As I said last week, that was only the beginning. The entire WWE Universe has no idea what's in store for everyone here. We already took your WWE Champion out of the picture. Would you like to be next? If you thought last week was bad, wait until we get ahold of you. If you have any idea what's good for you, I suggest you give all 3 of us WWE contracts before the night is over. Or you will be our next victim. Is that what you want Hunter? Oh, and I almost forgot. You might need a few more security guards. Your current guards are little... tied up in the back.
The screen on the Titantron shows the group of guards tied up and covered in blood. Jacobs laughs maniacally and walks off with Black and Necro. Triple H runs out of the ring and backstage to help out the guards, and the camera goes to JR and King who are in shock. They eventually announce what Triple H began to say. CM Punk isn't in the arena tonight due to what happened last week. It was decided it'd be safest for him just to not show up in case Age of the Fall returned. They go on to mention the main event for tonight being Undertaker vs Alberto Del Rio in a Number One Contenders match. Opening Match:Singles MatchJohn Morrison vs Trent Barreta This was a very fast paced match from the start. It began as Morrison quickly went for a Clothesline, but Barreta ducked and hit a Springboard Moonsault. He went for the pin, but Morrison got the shoulder up. He picked Morrison up and threw him to the corner. He ran and went for a High Knee, but Morrison dodged and nailed a Pele. He controlled the match for quite some time. Barreta finally got the advantage back after rolling away from a Standing Shooter Star Press. Morrison got back up and ate a few punches and took a few chops as he was near the corner. Barreta went for the Dudebuster DDT, but Morrison pushed him off, causing him to land on the apron. Morrison turned around and Barreta did a Springboard Dudebuster from the apron. He quickly covered Morrison and got the victory. After the match, the camera goes backstage where Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder are talking. Zack thanks Hawkins for coming to help him out last week and Hawkins simply responded with "Anything for my bro. Even though we kind've ended our team on bad terms, we've been friends for years. We shouldn't let our egos get in the way of our friendship." Ryder agrees and wishes Hawkins luck in his match with Miz. It's up next.Match 2:Singles MatchThe Miz vs Curt Hawkins The match started out with a lock up, but Miz hit Hawkins with a knee to the gut, then a vicious DDT. He took control of the match for some time, until Hawkins evaded a Clothesline in the corner. He followed up with a Spinning Spinebuster. He beat Miz down for a while, until Miz low blowed him. The ref saw it and called for a DQ. After the bell sounded, Curt was declared winner by DQ. The Miz attacked him with kicks to the gut while he was down. He went on to lift Hawkins up and nail the Skull Crushing Finale. Zack Ryder ran down the ramp, but Miz rolled out of the ring. He headed up the ramp and stared down Zack Ryder as he was aiding Hawkins.Match 3:Tag Team MatchWorld's Greatest Tag Team vs Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne As the teams made their entrances to the arena, JR mentioned Kingston and Bourne forming a team together calling it Air Boom. All four superstars got in the ring and the match began. Kingston and Benjamin started things off. Kingston got the first shot in as he quickly hit a Flying Forearm, then threw Benjamin the ropes and Monkey Flipped him. He only kept momentum for a short time though as Benjamin reversed a move and hit a German Suplex out of nowhere. He fought back into the match and eventually tagged out to Haas. They did a Backbreaker-Leg Drop double team maneuver and kept control of the match. Kingston desperately needed a tag. He somehow rolled Haas up into a pin, but only got a 1 count. He quickly sprang back up and hit him with a Low Dropkick to the face. Kingston crawled to Bourne, but Charlie grabbed his leg as he was getting up. Bout Kingston spun out of it and hit a surprise Trouble in Paradise. He tagged out to Bourne who climbed up the turnbuckle. He was setting up for Air Bourne, but Benjamin ran in and threw him off the turnbuckle with a Belly-to-Back Suplex! Benjamin rolled out and pulled Kofi off the apron, while Haas did the Haas of Pain. Bourne was forced to tap out and World's Greatest Tag Team gets the victory. After the match, Otunga and McGillicutty return after their absence. They said they took some time off to celebrate their championship victory because they deserved it. They said they've seen enough of the World's Greatest Tag Team showing up each and every week to dominate other Superstars. McGillicutty says if they really wanna show what they're made of, then they'll defend their titles against them Sunday at Extreme Rules.
JR says he just got word that after the main event tonight, Triple H will meet Age of the Fall in the ring for their contract signing.Match 4:Singles MatchDrew McIntyre vs Santino Marella This match was short and sweet. As Santino was coming down the ramp, McIntyre ran up from behind him and smacked him in the head with the United States Championship. He threw Santino in the ring and the bell rang, officially starting the match. McIntyre picked Marella up with ease and nailed the Future Shock DDT for the win. Before the main event, the commentary team goes over the Raw matches announced for Extreme Rules so far: - WWE CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH CM Punk vs whoever wins between Undertaker and Del Rio tonight. - TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH Otunga and McGillicutty vs World's Greatest Tag Team - NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder vs The Miz & Partner of his choosingMain Event:Number One Contender's MatchUndertaker vs Alberto Del Rio The Undertaker got a huge pop from the crowd as he entered the arena on his motorcycle, and Del Rio was obviously not liked by the crowd. The match began and the crowd started chanting "Undertaker *clap clap clap clap clap*" Del Rio threw some kicks to 'Taker's legs as the match began, but he just knocked Del Rio on his ass with a Big Boot. Del Rio quickly got back up, but 'Taker hit a fury of punches. He lifted Alberto up for4 Snake Eyes, but he slipped out and Dropkicked 'Taker in the back of the knee. It brought him down to his knees and Del Rio damn near knocked him out with an Enziguiri that echoed throughout the arena. He picked 'Taker up an Irish Whipped him, Undertaker ducks the Clothesline and brings Del Rio down with a Flying Clothesline Lariat. Del Rio tried escaping to the apron, but The Undertaker went right after him and hit him with a Leg Drop. He got back in the ring and raised his fist up for the Last Ride. He grabbed Del Rio and lifted him up in the air, but Alberto slips out and locks 'Taker into a Cross Armbar! Undertaker tried to fight through it and almost gave up. He raised his hand up a few times and almost tapped, but he managed to make it to the ropes. Del Rio is forced to let go. He lifts Undertaker and goes for a Cross Armbreaker, but Undertaker pushes him away. Del Rio goes right back after 'Taker, but he gets Undertaker's hand wrapped around his throat instead! Chokeslam! Undertaker does a cut throat taunt and calls for the Tombstone! Del Rio staggers back to his feet and falls victim to the Tombstone. 'Taker picks up the 3. Undertaker celebrates while Del Rio lies in pain. They both eventually head to the back and Triple H's music hits. He makes his way down to the ring where there is a table with 3 contracts on it. He calls Age of the Fall to the ring for their signatures. Jacobs, Black, and Necro all head out from the back. As they head down the ramp Triple H stands with an intense look on his face, then starts waving for someone to come out. As Age of the Fall are about halfway down the ramp, a group of cops from the local police department come chasing down after them. They grab hold of the 3 men and cuff them after a struggle. Triple H smirks and mouths "Buh bye" and waves at them. Age of the Fall continues to put up a fight with the police as they lead them to the back. Jacobs shouts "This isn't over, Hunter! You can't get rid of us that easily!" The crowd cheers as they're led out of the arena. The camera goes back to Triple H who rips up the contracts and heads to the turnbuckle to get one last pop from the crowd as the show fades out.

The first match of the evening was quite exciting. A lot of fast paced action and quick moves. It started out with Gabriel hitting an Armdrag, then Sin Cara did the same. Sin Cara went to jump for his Moonsault Side Slam, but Gabriel pushed him off and down to the mat. Gabriel picks up the win after the 450 Splash.
Match 2: Singles Match Otunga & McGillicutty vs The Usos
This one didn't last long at all. The Tag Team Champions showed no sign of ring rust in this one and pretty much dominated all match. The Usos barely put up a fight and quickly jobbed out in this one. McGillicutty got the 3 count after connecting with the McGillicutter.

Match 4: Singles Match Daniel Bryan vs William Regal
Bryan requested a match against his mentor and it was granted. It started off with a lockup. Regal locked Bryan in a Headlock and flipped him over to the mat. Bryan escapes and Dropkicks Regal in the face. He lifted Regal up and nailed the Regal Plex. Pin and only 1 and a half. Regal got up before Bryan and hit a Knee Trembler out of nowhere. Regal goes for the pin now. Only 2 as Bryan gets his foot on the rope. The match goes back and forth for some time until Bryan missed a Roundhouse Kick and hit the referee. Regal pulls out the brass knuckles! He swings and knocks Bryan off his feet with the Power of the Punch. He goes for the pin but the ref is down. Tyson Kidd comes running down the ramp with a referee. The ref slides in and gives Regal the 3 count.
After the match, Regal celebrated while Kidd tried giving his briefcase to the referee. As he was trying to tell him he wanted to cash in, Bryan comes from behind and puts him in the Lebell Lock. Kidd quickly tapped and the ref made Bryan let go. After Kidd rolled out of the ring, it was announced that the match was never official. Kidd keeps his briefcase. Tyson gets a mic and says that he's tired of playing games. He's cashing in at Extreme Rules!
