Very good episode overall, but not up there with the best. I really enjoyed seeing the changing roles of the familiar characters in the new community, and how they interacted with new characters. Also seeing it literally rain zombies in the big box store was awesome.
What has me really intrigued though is this disease (if that's what it actually is) that's killing off animals and people.
At times I thought Darryl, Rick, and Tyreese were goners. As soon as I saw Hershel and Michonne on their knees, I knew one of them was gonna get the Tyreese treatment. Such a brutal way for Hershel to go too.
I liked that Kirkman said on Talking Dead that the more important the character, the more brutal and memorable the death of that character should be. Makes me wonder how some of the other will go if they stand by that logic.
The mid-season finale and mid-season premiere have been two of my favorite episodes so far. I like when the show focuses of smaller groups of characters so I wouldn't mind if the whole group doesn't reunite til the end of the season.
