April 20th, 2010The Straight-Edge Society enter to a chorus of boos. They make their way to the ring, where CM Punk gets a microphone. He says that last week, once again, his promise was fulfilled when he became King of the Ring. He then promises that he will become WWE Champion at The Great American Bash when he defeats Christian one-on-one! Christian enters to a loud ovation, microphone in hand. He says that CM Punk only won because his lackeys game him a numbers advantage, but tonight those odds will be even. He says that his team, which also includes Randy Orton and Rob Van Dam, WILL take out the Straight-Edge Society. Why? Because he's Captain Charisma, the WWE Champion, and he's better than them! Singles Match Goldust vs. William RegalA great match between the two veterans. Regal gets the upper-hand by using his wrestling skills, but eventually Goldust fights back with unorthodox offense. After 10 minutes of action, the end comes as Regal attempts an exploder suplex, but Goldust escapes, hitting an uppercut, before nailing the Curtain Call for the win.Winner: GoldustShelton Benjamin approaches Evan Bourne backstage. He says that he respects Bourne as a performer greatly, but tonight is his night, and he will stop at nothing to win the WWE Pure Championship! Bourne says that he, too, will stop at nothing to win. Brian Kendrick approaches both of the men and says that he is the "Man with the Plan" and he will win tonight. NOT Bourne, NOT Benjamin, HIM! Bourne laughs at him and Kendrick gets right into his face, before turning and leaving. Bourne asks Benjamin what his problem was. Fatal Fourway Paul Burchill vs. The Hurricane vs. Vance Archer vs. Paul LondonSolid fatal fourway, although a tad short. After several minutes of back and forth action, London nails the SSP on Burchill and goes for the pin, but Hurricane nails London with the Shining Wizard. He stands up, but Archer nails him with a smashing yakuza kick before pinning him to get the win.Winner: Vance ArcherArcher grabs a microphone and says that he won just then, proving utmost dominance. He claims to be the strongest, smartest, and ultimately the BEST in WWE today, and assures the crowd that he and the "Redneck Messiah" Jamie Noble WILL win the tag team titles and WILL show each and every one of the pathetic parasites in the crowd that they are the best in the world! Goldust appears on the titantron. The arena darkens. He laughs slowly and softly before saying that some people call him a freak of nature; a lunatic; insane. He says he is ALL THREE of those things, which is what makes him stand out. He says that Vance Archer is a one-dimensional musclehead, and Jamie Noble is...well.... 4 foot nothing. He says that he and The Hurricane, WWE's premier superhero will save the day at The Great American Bash when they become WWE Tag Team Champions! He tells them to remember the name! Exhibition Match Ezekiel Jackson vs. Bryan DanielsonDanielson throws everything he has at Jackson, but Jackson simply dominates him. He throws Danielson around, landing lots of huge strikes and a massive powerslam for a two-count. He tries for the Book of Ezekiel, but Danielson lands a nice elbow and a flying knee. He locks on the Cattle Mutilation as the fans go nuts, but Jackson gets to the ropes quickly. Danielson charges him, but Jackson launches him over the top rope. He takes after Danielson, slamming him into the announce table, then throwing him into the steel pole. The referee ends the match.Winner: Bryan Danielson via. DQJackson continues his beatdown, spearing Danielson into the side of the ring, before throwing him headfirst into the steel ringsteps. Danielson is cut open. Jackson lifts the ring apron, searching for a weapon. He instead finds Kane, who grabs Jackson by the throat, crawling out from under the ring. Jackson is shocked as Kane throws him into the ringpost before nailing a big boot. He then chokeslams Jackson onto the steel ramp as referees pile down to stop the assault. Kane helps Danielson up, lifting his arm in the air before leaving. Backstage, John Morrison is seen strutting towards his locker room, his title over his shoulder. He walks into Evan Bourne. Morrison smirks and tells Bourne to get out of the way, unless he wants another beating. Bourne laughs and shakes his head before leaving. Morrison continues towards to locker room. When he walks in, he notices a note left on his bag. "Morrison, tonight is the night. You will get what is coming to you, and I will enjoy every single moment of it. I hope you're treasuring the Pure Championship, because I, too, will get what's mine; the WWE Pure Championship! See you tonight!"WWE Pure Championship: Fatal-Fourway Elimination John Morrison (c) vs. Evan Bourne vs. Brian Kendrick vs. Shelton BenjaminAmazing match here, lasting close to 20 minutes. After several minutes of great action, Kendrick superkicks Benjamin, allowing Bourne to nail him with an enzuigiri to eliminate him. After around five more minutes, Kendrick falls to Morrison's Moonlight Drive allowing Morrison to eliminate him. Morrison capitalizes with a flying knee before pinning him, grasping his tights for extra leverage.Winner: John MorrisonMorrison gets a microphone and says that enough is enough, its time for the cowardly mystery man to reveal himself! He DEMANDS that the person show their identity right now. Eery music plays with subliminal messages before busting out into a gothic rock song as "The Angelic Diablo" displays on the titan tron. Morrison drops the Championship and readies for a fight, eyeing the ramp. Matt Hardy suddenly leaps over the fan barricade and slides into the ring. He attacks Morrison from behind, beating into him with right hands. He pumps the crowd up, as they go crazy. He kicks Morrison and readies for the Twist of Fate, but Morrison escapes out of the ring. Matt Hardy smiles before looking at the Pure Championship. He raises it in the air, pointing to himself. He leaves it in the ring before tearing up the ramp after Morrison, who flees. Six-Man Tag Team Match The Straight-Edge Society vs. Christian, Randy Orton and Rob Van DamAn epic match here. Orton dominates Mercury until he tags in Gallows. With the help of a cheap shot from Punk, Gallows annihilates Orton with a yakuza kick, allowed the SES to dissect him. After a few minutes of getting beaten down, Orton makes the tag to RVD who comes in hot, taking out all three in succession. He continues gaining momentum on Gallows with a heel kick and the Rolling Thunder for a two-count. He tags in Christian, who continues the domination. Mercury trips him, allowing Gallows to once again capitalize with a huge slam. Punk tags in and mocks and toys with him until Christian surprisingly rolls him up for a three-count!Winners: Christian, Randy Orton and Rob Van DamPunk is absolutely dumbfounded and furious at the finish as he gets to his feet and screams at the referee asking for answers.
