Try removing the filter over orton, but leave it there everywhere else. Make the background birghter, but then up the contrast, too.
Just IMO. Looks nice for a first though, My first try at GFXing was terrible!

Erase the texture over the focal, it makes it very unnattractive. Add some lighting and burn the edges a bit. Do that and I'll give you some more tips

I don't like the CM Punk one. Looks like four faded pics placed next to each other. Needs a focal point, a logo and an outline.

But not all sigs have a logo and an outline. And not every gfx has to have only one focal point...

You ask for C+C and then complain when I give it? Fine I won't be nice. The graphic sucks, it doesn't stand out at all and I could do it in paint then fade it and get the same effect. It doesn't have ONE focal point. It's just four pics side by side. Like your Steve Nash ones, your eyes are drawn to the pic of him. You're absolutely right, not every graphic needs an outline or a logo, but ones as boring as this do need them because it makes them look less plain and more professional.
If you don't want to take crit, don't ask for it..

I'm not complaining actually, and I didn't fade it ffs. BTW, I've only been doing gfx for 3-4 days so I know it sucks. I didn't say it's any good and I even just followed a tut to do this.

If you know it sucks, why are you defending it and yourself as if I took a personal shot at you? I was trying to help..

I'm not defending myself as if you took a shot at me, I was saying what I know to try to explain why it is like that.

Well, it wasn't a shot at you. Don't take it that way. Even if i'm harsh, i'm just trying to help. If I lie and say it's awesome, it won't help you as much. Hell, when I started micros and for the year or two after that, jsh tore me a new one at each chance. He ridiculed my micros and broke them down and destroyed them, basically. It helped me strive to be better and learn what I need to fix. If he had said they were great, I doubt I'd be as good as I am now.

The Orton one is great for a first, but I agree about taking the effect off of Orton. Orton is the focal point of it, and but having the effect over him drags it down a bit.
I think the Punk one does look like 4 pictures just blended together with an effect. I think the first three blend together very well, it's just the last picture that throws it off for me because of the stage in the background. Some spots could be blended better, and I think a Straight Edge Society logo thing would help it out a bit. But it's good for what it is.
I'm not really liking the Cravate one. It could be loads better if it wasn't for the background. I like that you added a border, because borders do help make it look more professional and stuff like Josh said. I think faded pictures with an effect or some brush strokes would look better than the current background you have on it. I also don't see the point in having the blurred reflection thing you have on there of him.
You're not bad at all with these. I mean, for your first three these are pretty good. If you keep practicing and such, you'll be awesome at making GFX in no time.
