Can this place really not go two fucking months without Cane? The guys been gone a few weeks and this place is already slow as shit. What happened to the 3-4 pages of voting we get when Cane is about? What about the 7 pages of PPV discussion? Why is it when he goes, and I do a show, we get 4 or 5 votes, and 3 pages of discussion. Seriously. I did the show because people complained we may not have one when he was gone, now when he is gone, we get 5 votes. MXT is the same thing. Only 3 or 4 votes in there. I'm not doing the next MXT show right now unless the voting picks up.

The community in general is in a big slump. MIB is so slow nowadays its sad, compared to its prime. Caws doesn’t seem to be doing too well either.
Its fucked always seeing loads of people online, and the board going without posts for almost a day. I find a lot of vets have really gotten lazy and just lurk most the time, and its mostly the newer guys actively posting, which i commend them for. I think the board needs to put more emphasis on promoting and advertising. I know a lot of people here don’t like some aspects of MIB, but I think some doors of communication need to open between the boards or they’re both just gonna fade away.
Im not gonna blow things out of proportion and say im leaving or whatever, but if activity continues to decline, I just don’t want to waste my time and effort posting.

Yeah I don't get why anyone would spend the time signing up for something and just not even contribute. I mean, no one even votes for the shows anymore, that's retarded. And for some weird reason it all slowed down right as Cane left. Is there a difference between Cane and CMC running the whole show? Basically, if you don't plan on being an active member who tries to help the site don't even bother signing up.

I'm not even a fulltime admin, and I'm the one who's doing the shows. Now people are logging on, looking, then fucking off. I'm like Alex, if the activity doesn't pick up, I can't see myself staying around. It's just boring. I'm waiting for a while to post the new MXT show.

I come on just about whenever I can and I scroll and see if there's a new post, and when I see that all of the posts are exactly the same from the previous night it's sort of disappointing. Activity needs to go up, up, up.

part of the reason, is because people don't really know about microing. There was a burst of activity when people like me, AA, Diablo, Cobra, Famous etc. joined as we had just started our own micro league, and were keen to learn more. But now it's 7 months later, and the initial buzz seems to have worn off.
I think instead of advertising the forums, we need to advertise Micros. That way, people can come to us and ask how they are made, we can redirect them to the micro community. I think we should try our best to add our best/ most famous micros to signature spaces on other forums, (like how I am planning on making my Beatles into my sig on CAWs, many of those guys like the Beatles).
Just my thoughts on how to get more posts.

A MS sig could be made, for everyone to use.

That could be a graphics competition match that the whole board could jump on.

I don't make much, therefore i don't post much. Simplez. The member base isn't exactly high and with the active members slowly dwindling down, due to loss of interest or other commitments, i don't see how it can be helped, sure advertising would bring more people, i doubt they'd be active, probably just 'lurk' for resource, that's the main gist of what I've seen on forums, maybe a post limit to access the resourceful sections of the forum? my opinion but whatever.

^^ Good luck with that. Yeah, considering a whole 3 members ever bother to try to participate in 'em ha. Oh well.

I'll try throwing a sig together for advertisement when I have the time.
Out of all 63 members here, who all is honestly active?

Active as in signing on, it appears to be 15-20 daily. Active as in posting, 6-8 usually. Most it's been is 9-12 it seems.

I always check the site every 30 minutes to see if there's any new activity. Always ends up disappointed. I'm guilty to say that I rarely vote though. I don't know why, but even on CAWs I get a little lazy to vote.

I come on daily, but as people have said, I see that the posts are all the same as last night, and I'm just like, ohhh.
