WWE: The Changing of the Times******** Backstory: On the 28th of March, 2010, right after the end of WrestleMania 26, Vince McMahon made a major announcement regarding the future of the WWE. The first thing... the PG era was no longer. WWE programming would return to a TV-14 rating, making WWE extreme again. The second thing... Each brand would cease to exist, in place of new brands, set up with different rankings. WWE: Attitude! and WWE Throwdown would be the two top-tier brands for main eventers and mid-carders, whilst WWE: Crash and WWE: Warzone were set up for the superstars that are looking to climb up the ranks (with a couple of veterans). Next week on a special 3 hour Attitude! show, the two main brands will select twenty-five superstars each, to begin the ultimate world of wrestling. A new era of the WWE has dawned, and 2010 will be when everything changes. Notes(changes I made from original storyline):- NXT started on early October of 2009 and ended a week after the Rumble. Before Attitude was aired, Vince McMahon was the guest on JR’s Couch. JR’s Couch is a weekly show on WWE Network which sees Jim Ross interview people that have affected the WWE or the wrestling industry in general. Below are the highlights of the interview:

Offtopic, love seeing my JR's Couch logo.
On-topic: Great contextual interview, however the Mattel question just didn't seem prudent.

OT: Didn't get to credit you. Sorry. I did credit you for the other logos, though.
About the Mattel part, pretty much just a rough way to explain them going back to TV-14 so I get that you see it as a little weird.

March 29th, 2010Attitude starts off and the Chairman, Vince McMahon, is in a podium positioned on the stage. He says good evening to the fans and welcomes them to a new era of wrestling and to a new era of WWE. He tells the fans how this new WWE will be more exciting and electrifying then ever and without further ado, he welcomes the General Manager of Attitude. After seconds of silence, Theodore Long’s music plays to the delight of the fans as they go wild. Theodore Long talks about the picks he will make and how the wrestlers of Attitude will be the ones that the people would want to watch. He tells the fans to enjoy the night and, holla! Vince returns to the podium and asks the fans if they want to meet Throwdown’s General Manager. The fans roar and after loud chants of “GM!” Vince returns to the mic and tells them that this man has changed wrestling history a lot of times before. He tells the crowd that this man is one of the most influential men in wrestling in recent memory. Without further ado, the GM of Throwdown is… none other than Eric Bischoff! The crowd roars with excitement as we see Eric Bischoff walking to the stage. He thanks Vince for the great introduction and he promises the fans that he will, once again, change the history and the landscape of wrestling like never before. Vince gets the mic and tells the audience to settle down. He tells them that the three of them have talked earlier in the locker room and they have decided and agreed upon that Throwdown will get the first pick. Eric Bischoff goes to the podium and announces that Throwdown would like to welcome to their roster, none other than… John Cena! The crowd goes wild as Cena salutes and poses to the crown from the stage. Teddy tells Bischoff that he made a great pick but the wrestler he is about to pick is badder and better. The crowd goes silent as they wait for Attitude’s pick… “It’s time to play The Game!” Triple H is Attitude’s first pick. The crowd grows even louder as we see that Teddy Long is really happy with the pick he made. Vince McMahon takes the microphone and announces that as the first official wrestlers of each brand. John Cena and Triple H will compete in a singles match and the winner’s brand will get to choose 5 superstars before the other brand! That match is going to start… now! Singles Match Triple H vs. John Cena The match starts off as the two men have a staredown in the middle of the ring. There’s a lot of history between these guys and as a matter of fact, John Cena beat Triple H, Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels on WrestleMania 26 when Shawn turned on Hunter. HHH shoves Cena. Cena shoves back as they unleash back and forth punches. Cena gets the upper hand as he clotheslines HHH. He waits for him to go back to his feet as he performs a running bulldog. He does a running shoulder block, another running shoulder block and a spinning powerbomb. Cena does the “U Can’t See Me” taunt and sets up the five knuckle shuffle but Triple H stands up and performs a spinebuster to Cena. Triple H attempts a Pedigree and Cena gets out of it as he performs the F-U. 1, 2, and HHH managed to put his leg above the ropes at the right time. Cena looks frustrated as he pulls HHH up and attempts another F-U. HHH slides out of it and pushes Cena to the ropes before performing a facebuster to the knee. Cena looks groggy and HHH takes advantage with a running knee. He tries for the pin but only gets a two count. He pulls Cena up and Cena was playing possum as he again tries for an F-U. HHH slides out again and he hits the Pedigree! 1…2…3! Hunter wins the match and Attitude gets 5 picks. Winner: Triple H Triple H celebrates and goes to the stage still obviously hurt. Teddy Long is obviously happy and he tells the audience that he has made up his mind and he has told Vince who his 5 picks were. The crowd waits as the 5 picks are revealed. First, the Apex Predator, the Viper, Randy Orton! Randy Orton walks to the stage and stands there as the crowd cheers on. Next, the crowd is silent… the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels. HBK walks to the stage and stares at Triple H with an angry look in his eyes. The third pick of Attitude… the Animal, Batista! The crowd goes wild as Batista walks to the stage. The fourth pick is revealed to be none other than Chris Jericho. He goes to the stage with a smile on his face as the crowd boos him. The crowd goes silent again as the last pick is revealed… BOOM! Fire covers the stage as the last pick of Attitude is revealed to be Kane! Teddy Long is again shown with a big smile on his face. Eric Bischoff looks serious as he says he doesn’t want to make this long so he will just reveal his 5 picks. The 5 picks are revealed to be the ultimate opportunist, Edge, the World’s Largest Athlete, the Big Show, the highflyer, Rey Mysterio, the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus and the Deadman, the Undertaker. The 4 superstars come out simultaneously and walks to the stage with smiles on their faces as they all look fired up. Vince announces that the 10 superstars that have just been selected will all participate in a 10-man battle royal, but since the Undertaker is injured, Throwdown is forced to compete with only 4 superstars. The winning brand will then get the advantage to pick 2 superstars who will be representing them in a fatal 4 way. The match starts now as the 10 superstars walk to the ring all looking fired up. 9-man Battle Royale The match starts as Throwdown dominates early with the Big Show and Sheamus eliminating Randy Orton and Chris Jericho. Rey and Edge are shown to work together against Kane as Sheamus works on Batista. Big Show and Shawn are shown to be in the middle of the ring. Show has a big smile on his face as Shawn is begging him. Shawn backs up to the ropes as Big Show attempts a clothesline… and he misses! Big Show is caught in the ropes and when he turns his back, Shawn catches him with the Sweet Chin Music! Big Show is out. Rey and Edge are still trying to eliminate Kane but without success. Kane turns things around as he eliminates Edge but he is unable to eliminate Rey Mysterio. Mysterio, from the outside, goes for a senton but Kane catches him in mid-air as he tries to powerbomb Mysterio and eliminate him but Mysterio counters and does a hurricanrana to Kane instead thus eliminating him. Mysterio goes to Batista and he helps Sheamus assault him. After grappling for some time, Mysterio and Sheamus was able to eliminate Batista. It is down to 3 men in the ring. 2 wrestlers from Throwdown and 1 wrestler from Attitude is left in the ring. Sheamus and Rey starts to work together on HBK. HBK almost gets eliminated but he manages to hang on the ropes. Sheamus and Mysterio doesn’t know and they think they have won but HBK gets back in the ring and throws Mysterio out. HBK and Sheamus are the only men left in the match. Sheamus tries to throw HBK out and he manages to hang on the ropes again. Sheamus tries to clothesline him but HBK ducks and both men are standing on the apron. HBK hits the super kick to Sheamus as he is sent inside the ring. HBK climbs the turnbuckle and tries for an elbow but the Celtic Warrior rolls out of the way. He takes advantage of the situation as he tries for the Celtic Cross. He was about to send HBK out but HBK manages to slide out and tries for another Sweet Chin Music, Sheamus ducks, hits the Brogue kick as Shawn Michaels is sent out of the ring. Sheamus wins as he gives Throwdown the next 2 picks. Winner: Sheamus Sheamus celebrates in the ring as Eric Bischoff is standing on the podium, clearly happy. As Mr. McMahon announced earlier, Throwdown now has the chance to pick the 2 superstars who will be representing them for the Fatal 4 Way match which is next. It is only after Throwdown makes its pick that Attitude gets to pick its 2 representatives. Eric Bischoff tells the audience that he have thought hard about who he will pick and he knows that these 2 superstars will not fail him and he knows one of them will win the fatal 4 way. To keep the crowd from waiting, Throwdown’s picks are… Christian and CM Punk! The two superstars walk to the stage smiling and confidently, they walk to the ring. Attitude’s picks are next and they are revealed to be the Shaman of Sexy, John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler! Vince McMahon goes to the podium before the match starts and he says whoever wins this match will give his brand 5 picks before the other brand and he also states that he has an explosive announcement that he haven’t told any of the general managers and he will announce it after the match. Fatal 4 Way Christian vs. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. John Morrison Christian starts to work on Ziggler as Punk throws kicks at Morrison. It went back and forth from there with a lot of double team moves being executed. Morrison gained the upper hand on Punk as he hit the Flying Chuck. Ziggler also hit the ZigZag to Christian on the outside. Morrison pins Punk but to the crowd’s shock, Ziggler pulls him away. Ziggler shouts that he should be the one to get the pin. He pins Punk but Morrison pulls him away too. The two argue as they shove each other back and forth. This gives Punk and Christian time to recover as they sneak from behind and both pulled off their finishers to the opponents. The two of them go for the pin simultaneously and 1...2...3! Winner: CM Punk/Christian They both celebrate their win as VKM climbs the podium. He tells the two to clear the ring as he has a major announcement. The crowd grows silent as they wait anxiously for Mr. McMahon’s announcement. Vince tells everyone that everyone in the arena, including the GMs, thought the draft will just involve current superstars in the WWE. Well, you were all right, to a certain extent. WWE just signed and re-signed a bunch of superstars that didn’t appear in the list of choices for draftees. These superstars come from Japan, the indys and even WWE’s toughest competition. He hands the new list to the two GMs as they both rank who they will draft next. After 2 minutes of deliberation, Eric Bischoff climbs the podium once again as he announces that his picks are… Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, Mr. Kennedy, RVD and Jeff Hardy! The crowd grows louder than ever as the 5 superstars walk to the ring as they prepare for another Battle Royale. Teddy Long gets the mic as he announces his 5 picks. They are revealed to be… Matt Hardy, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, Bryan Danielson and Carlito! VKM climbs the podium and tells the GMs and the 10 superstars that the winning brand of this battle royale will get to pick a tag team of their choice and also the tag team of their opponent to participate in a tag team match to determine the last picks. 10-man Battle Royale The battle royale starts and the ten superstars stare each other down. Matt Hardy and MVP shows a lot of team work as they quickly eliminate Mr. Kennedy. Carlito takes on Jeff Hardy and he, shockingly, executes the backstabber early into the match. He throws Jeff Hardy out of the ring into the floor. Kurt Angle leads team Throwdown as he makes short work of former student Shelton Benjamin. Bryan Danielson shows off to the crowd as he does a lot of high risk maneuvers. He gets caught in mid-air by AJ Styles as he gets easily thrown out. 6 men remain in the ring. MVP throws punches at RVD as Angle and Styles take on Carlito and Matt Hardy. MVP drives a boot to the side of RVD’s face as he makes quick work of him for the elimination. Carlito meanwhile gets hit by a clothesline by Matt Hardy in a clear miscommunication. Angle and Styles argue on who takes on who and they go face-to-face. Matt and MVP takes advantage as they throw the two out and win Attitude the Tag Team picks! Winner: MVP/Matt Hardy The two celebrate in the ring as they hug and raise each other’s arm. Teddy Long is clearly ecstatic as he gets to pick a tag team not only for Attitude, but also for Throwdown. He reveals that the team he has chosen to represent Attitude is Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, the Motor City Machine Guns. He thinks for a while and tells the audience that the team he will be picking for Throwdown is a team that has history with MCMG. It’s a team that the Guns have defeated before and he guarantees that they will defeat again. Teddy’s pick for Throwdown is none other than Team 3D! The crowd cheers on as Mr. McMahon announce that not only is the match a tag team match, it’s going to be a Tag Team Tables Match. He tells the teams that the winning team will give their brand the advantage of picking first before the other brand as the two brands complete their 25 picks. Tag Team Tables Match Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D The match starts as each team starts throwing punches and kicks at one another. Team 3D gets the upper hand and uses their size advantage as they both execute slams to each member of MCMG. The crowd goes wild and they start chanting “Tables!” Team 3D gives the 3D sign as D Von gets the tables. Brother Ray sets two tables up and he puts oil on both tables as Team 3D sets both table on fire. They both pull MCMG up but the two were just playing possum as they unleash kicks to each member of Team 3D. They show a lot of high risk maneuvers and showed great team work as they start to get the upper hand over Team 3D. They both run to the ropes and try for suicide dives but both members of 3D gets out of the way. The Guns are obviously badly hurt as Team 3D picks them up. They set both up for powerbombs onto two separate tables but both members counter with DDT’s through the tables earning them the win. Winner: Motor City Machine Guns The two celebrate though it’s obvious that they are both still badly hurt. Vince tells the GMs that they will each get to pick one superstar alternately until both brands have 25 superstars. This will be the Supplemental Draft. Since the Guns won the match, Attitude gets to pick first. The draft will be performed tomorrow evening but it will not be broadcasted, instead, the draftees will be announced on WWE.com. Vince calls out all of the picked superstars for both brands as they stand in two lines. They all pose for the fans until a brawl ensues that reached even the crowd. The show ends with the brawl still at hand and with ladders, tables and other weapons being thrown in the ring.
