-JANUARY-January 5th 2012The first episode of the new era opened with Mike Tenay and Don West letting everyone know that there is a new partner with Dixie Carter helping fund the company and take it to new places. They announced that this person will be announced on the first episode of Impact Wrestling after Genesis.
Douglas Williams defeated D’Angelo Dinero in the opening contest of the first show after nailing his Chaos Theory finishing move.
Sting was interviewed and let everyone know that he will be defending his TNA World Title in the main event against AJ Styles. He stated how much he respected AJ and he hoped it would be a great match.
Eric Young defeated Shannon Moore in the second match of the show. Young won with a huge elbow drop from the top rope.
Paul London made his return to TNA in the third match of the night as he teamed with his former partner, Brian Kendrick to take of Generation Me. After a hard fought match, London and Kendrick picked up the win.
Beer Money were interviewed and said they were told that a lot of great tag teams are coming to TNA and they will prove why they are the best team in the world.
The fourth match of the night saw the Motor City Machine Guns face off with Matt and Jeff Hardy in another great tag team match. Both teams brought it all but in the end the Guns pulled out the win.
Samoa Joe defeated Gunner in quick fashion and took the Television Title from him. Joe went on to beat Gunner down following the match and he had to be taken out on a stretcher. Joe told everyone in the arena that the Television Title is his and the only way to get it away from him is to kill him.
In the main event, Sting and AJ Styles went to a no contest after Chris Jericho made his debut. Jericho laid out both men with a chair before posing over them with the TNA World Title to close the show.
January 12th 2012After the shocking end to the previous episode, it was announced that Chris Jericho would have his first official match for TNA in the main event. He will face one of the men he laid out with a chair, and that man is AJ Styles.
Jon Moxley made his TNA debut by defeating Shannon Moore with the Midnight Special. After the match, Moxley said to take everything you think you know and throw it out the window because he’s a trendsetter, a difference maker, and he’s about the blow the doors off of everything.
AJ Styles was interviewed and said that Jericho has made everything personal by attacking him in his TNA debut.
Beer Money defeated Team 3D in a Tag Team Championships match after nailing the DWI on Devon
Samoa Joe cut a promo and said that he was informed that the winner of the fatal four way match will face him at Genesis for the Television Title. He said that person better be prepared to kill him if they want his title
Rob Van defeated Eric Young, Douglas Williams, and Jeff Hardy to get the match with Samoa Joe at Genesis
Chris Jericho is shown arriving to the arena and is informed he has a match with AJ Styles to which he says “Great. I can’t finish what I started.”
Kazarian with Traci Brooks defeated Matt Hardy in an X-Division Championship match after nailing the Flux Capacitor
Abyss defeated Tommy Dreamer in a falls count anywhere match after nailing the Black Hole Slam on a barbwire board
Chris Jericho cut a promo saying that after he defeats AJ Style, he wants a TNA World Title match at Genesis
In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated AJ Styles after Sting inadvertently nailed Styles with a chair which allowed Jericho to score the pinfall. After the match, Sting said he was informed by Dixie Carter that there will be a triple threat at Genesis between himself, Jericho, and Styles for the title
Genesis: January 15th 2012The opening match of Genesis saw Kazarian defeat the debuting Johnny Gargano in a great match to retain the X-Division Championship
Beer Money were interviewed about defending their championships against the Motor City Machine Guns and London and Kendrick. They said both teams are great, but they won’t be stopped.
Samoa Joe defeated Rob Van Dam in a classic match to retain the Television Championship. RVD offered a handshake to Joe following the loss but instead Joe spit in his face and walked away.
Sting was shown arriving to the arena with the TNA World Title in hand. As he walked in the door a limo pulled up in the parking lot but no one got out.
Beer Money defeated London and Kendrick and Motor City Machine Guns to retain the Tag Team Championships in a hard fought match that had the crowd on their feet. All 3 teams got a standing ovation for the fans in attendance.
AJ Styles cut a promo on the main event and said that he is going to show everyone why he is Mr. TNA

In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated Sting and AJ Styles to become the TNA World Champion after John Layfield made his TNA debut laying Sting out with a chair on the outside of the ring and then nailing a Clothesline from Hell on Styles, allowing Jericho to take the pin. Jericho and Layfield stood tall in the ring as Genesis ended
January 19th 2012Impact Wrestling opened with Sting arriving to the arena and promising that Jericho will get his
Austin Aries defeated Johnny Gargano in a great opening match. Aries finished him off with a sick Brainbuster.
Dixie Carter introduced the new part owner of TNA Wrestling and that man was none other than Shane McMahon. The wrestling world stood in shock and he ensured everyone that this wasn’t like it was with WCW, TNA has not been purchased by the feared McMahon family. Shane said he has a lot of plans that will help TNA become the top wrestling company in America. McMahon then introduced Jim Cornette as the new Commissioner of TNA. Cornette made his first ruling and that was Sting gets his rematch for the World Title against Chris Jericho in the main event.
Kid Kash defeated Eric Young in a good match. Kash finished him off with a Money Maker.
Chris Jericho cut a promo on Sting and said that he will never, ever get the TNA World Title back. Jim Cornette interrupted Jericho and informed him that John Layfield has been banned from ringside for the main event.
The Motor City Machine Guns defeated London and Kendrick after Sabin nailed the Cradle Shock on Kendrick. Both teams shook hands after the match
Samoa Joe was interviewed and said that no one is going to take the Television Title away from him. Ken Anderson approached him and challenged him to a match to which Joe accepted and told him “It’s your funeral.”
Samoa Joe defeated Ken Anderson to retain the Television Championship. After the match Joe beat down Anderson and gave him a Muscle Buster on a chair before leaving.
AJ Styles was interviewed about the outcome of Genesis. He said Jericho is disrespecting everyone and it’s sickening but tonight, Sting will give him what he has coming.
In the main event, Chris Jericho defeated Sting to retain the TNA World Championship. The referee got knocked out towards the end of the match and it looked like Sting had the match won until Giant Bernard, more widely known as Albert or A-Train made his TNA debut by laying out Sting with a Bernard Bomb and then Jericho nailed a Lionsault as the referee came to. Bernard, Jericho, and Layfield put a beating on Sting before AJ Styles tried to make the save but he was eventually outmanned and left laying as the show ended.
January 26th 2012After a recap of the previous episode, Don West and Mike Tenay informed everyone that Sting will be out of action indefinitely after the post match beat down
Petey Williams made his return to TNA by defeating Amazing Red with his signature Canadian Destroyer. Williams was met with Welcome Back chants from the crowd
AJ Styles cut a promo and said because of Jericho and his thugs, Sting may never wrestle again. Styles said he will take Jericho down, even if it kills him.
Giant Bernard made his in ring debut by defeating Abyss with the Bernard Bomb
Kazarian and Traci Brooks introduced the return of Michael Shane to TNA and together ShaZarian defeat London and Kendrick in a great tag team bout
Jim Cornette announced that on the next episode of Impact Wrestling, there will be a Ladder Match to open the show for the X-Division Championship
Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy to retain the Television Championship. Joe beat down Hardy following the win and put him in a rear naked choke until security broke it up
Chris Jericho cut a promo and stated that this group shall be known as The Dynasty. He said he was informed that he can pick an opponent for AJ Styles tonight, and in return Styles picks his opponent.
AJ Styles defeated Jerry Lynn in a great match with the Styles Clash. Lynn and Styles shook hands following the match
Chris Jericho and Kurt Angle went to a time limit draw after neither man was able to beat the other. Angle called Jericho a “pussy” for not accepting an extra 5 minutes. Angle was jumped from behind by Giant Bernard and he and Jericho put the boots to Angle until Styles sprinted to the ring with a chair in hand. Jericho and Bernad wisely exited the ring as Styles and Angle stared them down to end the show
