This one isn't that good imo. The head doesn't show much resemblance. I think you should have given him that goofy smile he always has. The hair's detail and shading is hardly visible. The knee pads are angled oddly too. If you're going to outline the entire thing with black, you shouldn't have left out the chest part of his attire. I also don't like the random dark lines on his neck. I also think the shading style between the body and the head is a bit off. On my computer, the face looks like another darker shade could be added, as the body has a lot of detail but the head lacks a little.
You're not bad at making micros, you should just spend more time on making them the best you can. Start modding your faces more, little by little. Work on different types of facial expressions and whatnot. Because right now, they all kind've look the same to me. What i'd suggest doing to keep that from happening would be to erase the face entirely when you start on the head, and start from scratch. That way you're basically guaranteed not to have similar looking micros.

Hair is very good, but it looks unshaded. Make sure that when you should, its really clear and not close to the base colour. Head isn't that good. As TC said, start it from scratch. Look at a picture of him and slowly copy the details you notice onto the micro as good as possible.
Singlet isn't bad. Shading is decent, could be a little better on the purple. As TC said, outline it all in black. You didn't use anti-aliasing on this one? I told you how, you should, because it makes it look alot better. I'll give you an example of it after I get home, if you want.
Not a bad micro, but nothing overly great either. Keep trying, take longer and try to make the face look like a photo. Same with attire too, copy the shading the picture has.

Could add me on msn if you want to help?

This isn't meant as a shot at you. The template means nothing. You can edit the template and make it look better. SPZ always says to me his micros aren't good because he doesn't have a good template. I think thats bullcrap, because if you're able to make decent micros, you could make a decent template. Heres an edit I've done. Most of the things I've changed are explained in my tutorials.

Not trying to change the subject, but Josh do you think you could make a tutorial on creating abs? That's always been my downfall; using abs from a template and never modding them.
