According to a WWE source who would have full knowledge of the situation, Bret Hart has indeed signed a short-term talent contract with World Wrestling Entertainment,
The WWE Hall of Famer signed the this past week and it will cover the period from 1/1 to 4/10, or through WrestleMania and about two weeks after the 3/28 show at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ.
Hart simply told a reliable source that he wasn't going to lie about anything and thus wasn't going to comment on this story.
It was said that Hart wanted his signing to be kept quiet and his return to be a surprise, but that WWE couldn't help itself but all but announced it publicly on the first RAW after the ink was dry.
Simply Awesome. I am a HUGE fan of Bret's and this is awesome. I am hoping for something between DX and The Hart Dynasty.

Seriously, TC, you have your priorities wrong... NOW you have a reason to watch WWE? Upon their signing of a 50-year old man who both physically and legally cannot wrestle anymore?

I'll watch it when he comes back to see if they do anything interesting, like with DX and The Hart Dynasty like AC mentioned. I'm a big Bret Hart fan. But if it's still boring, I'll go back to not watching it anymore.

The only good thing I could see coming out of this is a push for The Hart Dynasty. I doubt it will be against DX though. Can you guys see Bret Hart standing in the ring alongside Shawn Michaels again?

Quit hating on Bret. Even if all he does is talk it will be more entertaining than a Sheamus match or segment

I'm not hating on Bret Hart. He is one of my favourites, but he is irrelevent nowadays and knowing that he physically cannot wrestle, it's not HUGE news having him back. He will push the Hart Dynasty up the card a bit, which is good, but still, meh.
And Sheamus isn't a bad wrestler... and hes a nice guy who talked to me for about 10 minutes while waiting for his bags. This was the week after he debuted though. He just got pushed too far, too fast.

All he will be able to do is talk.He wont be wrestling at all,as he isnt allowed legally to ever wrestle again.Should be cool though.

I wouldn't want Bret to ruin his legacy by pulling a Hogan. This is coming from a Hogan fan btw.

Just seeing Bret on WWE programming again would do some good, it's been far too long. His HOF induction was nice and all but I he didn't even appear at Mania. I'll be fine with it if he just sticks around through Mania and then leaves. And I know I am being hard on Sheamus but it ticks me off when WWE pushes a guy too soon without proper main event level build up. I would be fine with him being champ if he had a solid heel run before getting the belt. But all he did is defeat jobbers, I mean seriously the biggest name he beat was who, Jamie Noble? and now he is WWE Champion, I'm just not buying it.

I like Sheamus and he's a cool guy in real life, but I agree. They DID make him out to be a threat, but they didn't make him out to be a main eventer. He should have been on Superstars every week destroying people like Dreamer, Hardy, MVP, etc. and even beat people like Mark Henry on Raw. I feel they should have waited for the following PPV, because he REALLY needed another 4 weeks building up.
