I'm gonna say this with your interest in mind. It's gonna sound harsh, but it's the truth. You're not good enough to start doing things completely from scratch. You still struggle with regular temp micros and until you master those, I wouldn't do anything else. Not being mean, just honest.

Well I'm gonna be honest as well:
So far the lines are terrible. The proportion is very bad. Try looking at some other temps and base your lines of that, pretty much everything needs work. I wouldn't say give up on making a temp, but definatley look at other peoples temps to try and help you.

I think you need to understand rules of lines in pixels and also try and use circles and ovals to get basic shape to work around so you dont end up with a sausage like shape that you have here.

You should learn the basics like shaping and shading before you try your own things from scratch. It doesn't look good at all.

I commend you for trying, but if you learn how to consistently shade and shape well, templates won't even matter. People like Alex, MJH, TXF, myself, etc can make a micro look like anything no matter what the template it. Templates are just that, a base to start off, they aren't meant to affect the quality of your micro.
